Why are so many girls crazy about guys that are good looking but shy/nervous?

Overheard my classmates from college say that a guy who is good looking and shy/nervous around girls is a huge turn on. Why?

Good looking men have a lot of women to hit on them. If he's shy or nervous that means he does not really take their advantage and is quite naive. That also suggests that he would make a nice partner and isn't going to cheat that easily even if people keep on hitting on him while he is committed to someone. Women can't quite easily trust men that are both good-looking and extroverted.

However, this is my personal opinion. I am an introvert and, therefore, like introverts.

By the way, are you yourself that shy and good-looking guy?

Shy? Yes. Good looking? No idea, i dont really have any confidence to think i am.

Part of why i asked this question is because i have a crush on a girl and i get nervous around her and she noticed that.

She has asked me why i get nervous 3 times now.

In the most recent interaction what happened is that she asked me why i get nervous and i said “idk” because i couldnt tell her why.

She then asked me “do you feel nervousness around girls? Have you never talked to them? Dont you have a girlfriend?” And i said “no”.

Then the next day while we were talking she grabbed my upper arm and pulled me towards her and the wall. Then she got super close as well and put her hand on my stomach while talking. I got really nervous and leaned away and she noticed that, so she put her hand again on my stomach and just looked at me.

I don't know if she did that because of interest or being friendly. I feel like she knows i like her.

It can be because she just wants to test how much nervous you can get. By constantly asking you why are you nervous, she is probably trying to confirm the fact that you are really shy and not a player.

If she knows that i get nervous, why would she ask me that though? Whats the goal?

And you are saying she may be interested? How can you tell? I don’t know her that well. Just a familiar face.

Some people have the tendency. I always have people ask me, "why are you that shy?" people just can't grasp the fact that not everyone is that extroverted.

There can be another reason. She probably wants to know whether it's her that makes you shy. Like, you know, people get nervous around their crushes? She is trying to find out whether you have a crush on her.

I can tell that because women don't touch men easily. Now, as I don't know her, it would not be nice to come to the conclusion she likes you. Is her personality that warm? Does she do that to everyone you know or it's just you? That can answer a lot of questions.

She kind of has asked me if i had a crush on her, at least thats what i think it was.

What happened is that we were a group of 20 andwe played Never Have I Ever and she said “never have i ever had a crush on someone in this room” and started to look at me.

I didn't say anything because i was scared. After a minute or so she said “(my name), you can open up now, i have high expectations from you”. I’m not sure what she meant by that. And after that the tummy stuff happened, she first called me outside and we talked, and then the touching thing happened.

She is pretty confident and outgoing but she has never touched anyone else like that. I have asked a few mutual friends who know her well and they told me that she has never touched on the tummy like that. They told me it’s a sign of interest because she doesn't even know me that well compared to them and did all of that stuff.

One I'm not really someone who loves hanging with a big crowd so a shy person will do nicely. Two a handsome man gets a lot of attention and sometimes that turns them arrogant. Some try to do things that are not okay, but they think they can get away with it because they're handsome.

Not sure if that's entirely true. For most of my life, I was always the shy kid, yet no one ever thought I was attractive and instead always told me to "grow some balls" and/or act more confident around girls for them to see me more. Maybe this is just heresy spread by the media but I could be wrong.

Because shy and nervous guys are emotionally available which makes them perfect prey for women. Once they got these guys by the balls they start with all the nagging, emotional blackmail and irrational demands until either the guy wakes up and dumps her or destroys his life.

I might be wrong but off the top of my head, maybe because you can assume attractive shy guys are the exact opposite of attractive narcissistic guys who are overconfident and full of themselves (and nobody wants that)

Why? Because she wants a Chad-looking guy but one who is far less likely to cheat on her than an actual Chad.
