How to talk about this to a girl?

I really like when girls wear sneakers (sports brands).
I would like talk about it with the girls (chat or in real life) without this appearing a strange or fetishistic speech (I’m not interested in sniffing or licking them).
It can be something useful as a topic of conversation (and fashion advice) but also in case she wants to dress up knowing what I like and... how to attract me.

Just compliment her shoes! say "Hey I really like your shoes. Sports brands are the best kind". or
"you look/would look really cool in sports brand shoes". dont make it weird, dont make it sound like a fetish, make it sound like a compliment or advice.
