Trending & News This is pretty much my ex in a nutshell.
My story - broke up with him cause he was more into it than me, just lost feelings (he didn't do anything wrong as such) anyway about 5 months after that I got a new boyfriend this guy was also amazing but once we got further into our relationship he turned out to be a real asswhole.
Anyway my ex also got into a relationship (that his still in) and I'm so jealous cause I know how well he would treat this girl!
Sorry to make this complicated for you.. but its almost like I saw what other guys were out there realized I made a mistake and now its too late... but in all my past relationships (ive been dumped twice) they both came and begged for me back but not for a good 6 months - in which I had moved on.
It depends on the person and the situation. While I can recall a few positive details about my ex, I can tell you with certainty that I never "regret" leaving him. (He regrets being an abusive screw-up and admits it, but will never change. I have moved on and am in a much healthier place right now.)
Some people mature and realize they let a great man/woman slip away from them. It's one of the reasons why some divorced couples get back together.
It just depends on the two people involved -- their inner strength, their goals, their vulnerability to each others' actions and words, etc.
If it was something he did that caused me to end it, then no I wouldn't regret it. No one expects the rebounds to work anyway, they're just a way to help you move on and start thinking about other guys.
The minute you leave them...
Its a miracle what separation does. All of a sudden they're more attractive. More successful. More worth staying for. Funny how that happens...
