Why do women sit with their legs crossed?

Well it enhances the lines of a girls body. It also means that guys can't see her panties. If you look at women standing usually they will have their legs closer together than man would since we don't like to squash our boys. You'll also notice that women standing will tend to have their weight on one foot and stick the other foot out in front of them or behind them - sometimes with just the toe touching the ground. Periodically they switch the weight bearing leg.
Girls also tend to walk with each foot placed on a single line ahead whereas guys will walk with each foot placed on it's own line.
Why do girls sit walk and stand differently? Well I think because it is comfortable for them and also because it looks better and that is never far out of a girls mind
I always assumed it was a practical adaptation to the fact that skirts/dresses got shorter on average over time. Plus I guess there's something about it that just seems more 'feminine' somehow? I guess if you wanna go full "armchair Freudian psychoanalyst" you could make the argument it's a reinforcement of societal messaging for women to "keep their legs closed" except for the man they're currently dating. But I'm trying this new thing lately where I don't devolve into armchair psychoanalysis, so I'll reiterate that it's just a practical thing lol
Mostly because it feels comfortable. Not sure why that is, exactly. The body just seems to fold this way easily.
But it helps to be demure if wearing a short skirt.
It's composed, when out in public. I rarely sit like this at time. I slouch, sink into the sofa, go on an angle, kick a leg up. But it feels composed yet somewhat relaxed when in public. ?
So that they won't spread their legs and give someone an upskirt shot. Better to be trim and proper instead of giving a guy a whopper.
Occasionally young girls on public transport do deliberately give guys 'whoppers'. Oh there was this girl with hot pink panties ... sorry I am digressing.
I don't know if other guys react as I do, but even when there aren't skirts and whoppers and the girl is wearing jeans or leggings, I do react to girls sitting with legs apart. You can usually discern some shape but apart from that, legs apart inevitably causes thoughts of being between them.
That might be nasty of me but it just does cause those thoughts.

Comfort: We tend to cross our legs when we feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed. For some people this is a naturally comfortable posture, and women who wear short skirts will often cross their legs. Others will cross to shift their weight if their legs are feeling tired.
Depending on the context, sitting cross-legged can mean a person is either relaxed or defensive. Body language experts note that if you see someone sitting this way in a meeting, it may indicate they have emotionally withdrawn from the conversation.
Plus when there wearing dress's or skirts there not showing there underwear or private parts.
Well it's a sign of femeninity also when wearing something like a dress or a skirt to either show of our legs or to not show private parts sense we can't sit like men do or well both
It's just a habit we have taken on sometimes it's also just for comfort we don't have balls like guys do so it's actually sometimes comfortable
I’m glad that they do, because it lets us see how turned on they are by our conversation. When she starts crossing and uncrossing them and eventually leans forward towards you with her knees a little bit apart or, even, sort of fanning back-and-forth; then you know that she’s ready to make a move on.
Proportionate to their body size women have a wider pelvis (for child birth), shorter legs and a more oblique slant of the femur. This creates different angles in leg geometry. Women’s legs will naturally point more together than men’s. Men in contrast have a cock and balls, larger more dense bones, and more muscle mass leaving less room for legs to be close together which will cause them to angle out.
So if you lean into your anatomy’s natural geometry. Women crossing their legs is more feminine because it exaggerates their natural features and men spreading their legs and taking up more space is more masculine for the same reason. Women having thigh gaps, somewhat knock knees and toes point together same shit.
first because they actually can... and also because it is comfortable to them
I've asked each and every of my ex girlfriends, and girls that are friends, and they've all said the same... "it is more comfortable at times" lol
I don't know, I don't see how that could be comfortable but of course, I can't relate... we're built differently
This is taught. But i believe it originally started because most women wore dresses back in the day and it was to ensure they didn't expose themselves.
But now it's still taught out of habit.
no clue but i think it has something to do with ingrained modesty or politeness? i sometime sit with my legs crossed but i also sit with my legs spread or with my ankle up on the opposite knee, whatever's comfortable
@roy_ricky09 because we are trying to be discreet. By crossing our legs, we are keeping our private area a little more private.
You don't want me staring at your camel toe?
@JamesRandiDebates your reputation precedes you. Likely comment given your other questions and replies.
Girls are taught to sit that way so that boys can't look up their skirt and see their panties. And after doing that for a few years, it simply becomes a habit.
To keep your eyes where they belong... lol
And where would THAT be Laurie, if your gorgeous self were seated across from me?
For one thing it is a non revealing way to sit when wearing a skirt or some dresses.
For another our hips are wider so it's easier for us to do this and it is comfortable.
a feel more comfy sitting with my legs parted a bit and my elbows on them but i do it now and then with legs crossed but mostly the other way i said at first its more comfy and because i do it doesn't mean am wanting to flash my tosh off
Often to stop people from being able to look up their skirt. Or sometimes, it’s just a comfortable position to sit in.
Cause we're not allowed to sit with our legs wide open like men do. Not sure why guys think taking up so much space is attractive. I want to see more guys cross their legs
@Bethany22 that's it, you're taught like that for a reason and men are different from women, you cannot ask a man to do things that women does or vice versa! Learn and respect the difference!
Crossing my legs crushes my manhood.
Honestly for me it is comfortable. I have slight scoliosis at the bottom of my back so it relives thebpain some what. Also if i wear a dress my shit is kept toghether by my crossed legs
It's just comfortable and something i do without thinking. It also looks feminine and hilights your leg muscles. Also, if your skirt is short, helps prevent a peep show.
Comfortable force of habit, I guess.
I think that it's mainly body language: ''I close myself up / take a distance''
One other reason is the cat:
i guess you never tried sitting down while wearing a miniskirt you have no choice but to cross your legs
I wish I could cross my short, chubby legs. It looks so classy and pretty. But I'm kinda stubby haha
No clue, I always do it, it's a habit haha can't explain tho
If they're wearing a skirt or dress, it's of course proper to. However, if they're wearing pants/shorts, it's likely just because they're used to it, and feel like it's more lady like to
i was taught when i was 5 and i still to this day do not do i. when i do, i have to put all my focus into it and it's uncomfy af
Well I don’t want dudes looking at my puss all the time.
It's taught to us as little girls when wearing a dress or skirt. Personally I don't like sitting with my legs crossed I'd rather cross my ankles if I'm going to sit like that.
I find it to be extremely attractive when they do cross their legs like that. When guys do it, not so much.
I have long, tan and toned legs and I love wearing short skirts and dresses to show them off.
Hello 😂🥵
I do it to look fancy, even though I look goofy when I do it lmao
As a guy I think I speak for my gender when I say what feels "goofy" to you probably looks quite alluring to us haha
If they wear a dress or skirt - so no one would look at their genitals.
If they wear trousers - I don't know really. I guess it is comfortable.
Its very beautiful and sexy it gets men's attn it's lovely to see beautiful girl with there legs crossed I love it in girl with there legs crossed it's nice to go out on a date with girl with there legs crossed
So people dont see up your skirt or dress. Not all girks do this all the time either.
Probably comfort. If they have a dress or skirt. To keep form showing their underwear.
Because they know I'm trying to see their pussy.
@sage2021 😂
It’s just comfortable. I don’t often wear skirts or dresses so it’s not to hide between my legs.
Some do it for “etiquette”, personally I find it uncomfortable and at times the opposite of etiquette…mmm yes vulgar… I don't know, it fits to some women and I think there is some that just doesn’t
The Queen would only approve certain ways… this wouldn’t be one of them.
Historically, young women are taught to cross their legs so that others cannot see up their skirt.
It is probably comfortable for them. Men generally do not because our reproductive apparatus is external and gets in the way.
so perverts can't look up the dress/skirt. would be my guess.
So they can stimulate their pussies without anyone noticing
I learned that from a girl on THIS website
It's comfortable and elegant.. They have no testicles to get in the way
Because if they sit with their legs open like most guys do they look like whores.
So you can't see between our legs.
same reason why guys sit with their ankle over the knee.. it’s comfortable,
So they don’t let the demands out lol
Just comfortable either physically or socially
So they are not flashing their baby cannon to the wold.
Probably for the same reason I do — for comfort.
They wanna feel comfortable and not grossed out
Bc they can.
It's also considered mannerly.
I cross my legs without thinking. I don't want a guy looking up my skirt or dress.
Basic instinct should provide an adequate answer to this question
So nobody can look up their skirt or dress!
yeah crazy, right? I don't see how they don't squish their balls while sitting like that. 🤣
To not show the goodies 🤣
i saw woops ;) ;p
@Still-alive 🤣 whose
😂
Tradition, comfort, and feminine.
i jus do it without even thinking lol
aesthetics and feeling confident perhaps
I sit that way when I’m wet down
So men don't look up their skirts.
Looks better, in my opinion it's sexy 😜
