Sometimes we are just upset, mad, angry, sad... we just want to vent. DO NOT take that personally that we are attacking you. Sometimes, it is you we want to confide in. A stable, safe place we can go to who will just listen. Just hug her and let her vent. As she ages, hormones balance more, and she experiences more of the world around her; it is more often than not, not a problem anymore.
This is the kind of answer I was hoping for! Thanks for sharing. This is very insightful, informative and helpful!
You're welcome!
Woman are often just as confused with their own behavior as you are. Hormones suck.
That’s eye opening information. Can you explain that a little?
Some men like to tease about PMS. But it’s physical for us. Literally get chills as the bodies estrogen drops, and in turn body temp, to kickstart the period. If we don’t notice all of those physical (and emotional) chemical signs they do get us to overreact. Then we ourselves often think wtf silly thing did I just say or do? But it’s done by then so we just think “Here we go again, this month passed quicker than I thought” and bunker down for the next round.
Thanks for sharing this information. Guys have no idea what it’s like for you gals when you are dealing with your menstruation and the hormones that come with that. It helps when you tell us how it is for you. ❤️
I agree. You couldn’t know otherwise.
Thank you for mhg.
I feel, personally, that perhaps one of the greatest divides, differences, between the two sexes is this idea of women being more emotional. The highest number of upvotes I've ever received on a single comment was on this topic. My comment was nothing profound (at all; trust me on that), and it was very brief (especially for me, ha ha.) I wrote it on a person's mytake who has a reputation for being incendiary (which he does on purpose, to incite conflict, and then "study" us. Yeah, whatever, dude. His insights are lame. For those reasons, I am not re-posting it.)
What was nice about the whole thing was that many men did not agree with his thesis (pretending to believe that "women are manipulative liars" - he was trying to enrage us), and instead of it being a dogpile of negativity and trash-talking, there was a fairly decent dose of moderation and self-restraint, and even acknowledging that, in fact, both sexes lie and both have emotions! I know, shocker. I take issue with men who try to claim, only for themselves, the "logical" adjective. Pshaw. I've had plenty of experience with all ages of men now, and I can assure you, men's emotions do rear up; they just might appear in slightly different forms than in females.
Thinking about how to answer your q, this is where my mind went. And the fact that our brains have significantly more cross-lateralization, which results in us thinking and processing our experiences a bit differently. What we think, how we feel, and how we make decisions, takes in more information at a given time. This is both good and bad/detrimental and beneficial; just depends on the circumstances. We think about the social/emotional implications, and how something will affect us, the other person, and everyone else, potentially. Men surely do that too. But women will probably weight the feelings of others more. Our brain functioning is not as compartmentalized. One way to look at that is this is that we often have a more holistic view. Not big picture/zoomed out, necessarily; holistic. When we think, it involves our senses, memories, and emotions/feelings (proven in brain scans), often simultaneously. We're also more verbally-oriented (and verbose.) I think it is these things that create a quite different experience of the world for us. I guess we are more emotional, and certainly society has not forced us into suppressing them as much, but we can also feel beholden to the flurry of information/data points being considered, at times, and that can feel oppressive, not being able to push them aside, or analyze or deconstruct situations with setting them aside. Our senses fire up when a memory is recalled, and that may trigger an amygdala response, while the prefrontal cortex is also working away. So, combined (found in studies of females vs. males in brain scans), we have a likely richer, yet perhaps also overwhelming, experience, often times.
Here's more on that:
Are men just as complicated as women?

But here's a more specific answer to your q. This is the best answer I have ever read on this site, regarding this q. I did not write it. The author was @inexpensivefurniture. He has since closed this account. And who better to explain the different male-female experience, than a trans person who transitioned and experienced both?
'Do women have it easier?'
"Definitely not. I feel I have a unique perspective on this because I am trans. I lived the first 16 years of my life as a girl, and I've lived the last 6 as a guy. Since I've transitioned, here are some things I noticed:
-I don't get interrupted nearly as often. It went from being a daily occurrence to something that only happens when I'm talking to certain people
-Doctors actually believe me when I say I'm in pain, or that I don't think their last diagnosis was correct, or that I think one of my medications is making me sick. Before, I was constantly dismissed, not believed, told to go home and see if it got better on it's own.
-Men don't crowd me. I was so used to moving away from men standing too close to me at the store, in elevators, etc, it was such a relief when they started actually giving me appropriate space
-When I make a suggestion in a group, guys listen and credit me with the idea. Before my transition I would often be ignored, and then a minute later some dude would say the same thing I'd just said and get credit for "his" idea
-It's been years since I've noticed a man following me on a walk
-I don't get "accidentally" bumped into anymore
-I get credit now for doing the exact some stuff that was expected of me as a girl. Now when I say I like to clean, I can cook, I'm babysitting my neices, etc, I get people who are surprised and delighted to hear a guy enjoys doing these things
-People look me in the eye and shake my hand when they meet me. Before, I would maybe get a glance and a quick hello
-Teachers called on me way more in class, even though I raised my hand the same amount
-I don't get men yelling obscene things at me across the street anymore. Which is a really nice change from walking home at 14/15 years old and being asked if I swallow"
From this q:
As always, your responses deliver the thought provoking goods. 💯 I wanted to respond to each of the items your trans male example said he noticed after transitioning from female to male. I have copied his words and commented below each...
“'Do women have it easier?'
"Definitely not. I feel I have a unique perspective on this because I am trans. I lived the first 16 years of my life as a girl, and I've lived the last 6 as a guy. Since I've transitioned, here are some things I noticed:
-I don't get interrupted nearly as often. It went from being a daily occurrence to something that only happens when I'm talking to certain people
• I believe it, because not only have I witnessed it, I’m guilty of having done it. I strive very hard to not do that anymore.
-Doctors actually believe me when I say I'm in pain, or that I don't think their last diagnosis was correct, or that I think one of my medications is making me sick. Before, I was constantly dismissed, not believed, told to go home and see if it got better on it's own.
• This is unnerving and inexcusable. I wonder if it’s any different if the doctor is female?
-Men don't crowd me. I was so used to moving away from men standing too close to me at the store, in elevators, etc, it was such a relief when they started actually giving me appropriate space.
• I have a hard time believing this. Really? I have never disrespected another person’s space, female or male, and I can’t say I have ever seen examples of this kind of unacceptable behavior. I’d be interested in hearing from more women about this.
-When I make a suggestion in a group, guys listen and credit me with the idea. Before my transition I would often be ignored, and then a minute later some dude would say the same thing I'd just said and get credit for "his" idea.
• This kind of group behavior just plain sucks. And I have no doubt it happens. How do we correct it?
(continued in the next post)

-It's been years since I've noticed a man following me on a walk.
• This is some creepy stuff. Do men really do this? Or is it a woman’s fear causing an innocent act to feel potentially dangerous or menacing? If men really do this intentionally, I find it very disturbing.
-I don't get "accidentally" bumped into anymore.
• What? Really? Men are really intentionally bumping into women all the time? I have never done such a thing. But maybe guys are collectively worse than I realize? Again, I would love to hear from more women about this.
-I get credit now for doing the exact some stuff that was expected of me as a girl. Now when I say I like to clean, I can cook, I'm babysitting my neices, etc, I get people who are surprised and delighted to hear a guy enjoys doing these things.
• This rings completely true. I guess it’s tied to the stereotypical gender roles society assigns to women and men. Again, how do we correct this kind of thing?
(continued...)

-People look me in the eye and shake my hand when they meet me. Before, I would maybe get a glance and a quick hello.
• People in general? Or men? Because men certainly do adjust the way they greet depending on the gender. A guy might not want to come across too ‘forward’ in an initial contact with a woman. Or he may be unsure about the proper way to greet a woman he is meeting for the first time. Having said that, I do get what he is saying here.
-Teachers called on me way more in class, even though I raised my hand the same amount.
• Yep. Seen it.
-I don't get men yelling obscene things at me across the street anymore. Which is a really nice change from walking home at 14/15 years old and being asked if I swallow".
• I have witnessed catcalling firsthand, and I loathe it. Always have. Guys can resist that urge, I promise you. I spent time with a girl the other day who was so stunningly beautiful that I had to consciously remind myself not to stare at her. It took a ton of willpower for me to look away, she was just that strikingly gorgeous. But I did it. And I never uttered one inappropriate word to her either. So it can be done. Guys don’t always have to be so obnoxious.
So... I always appreciate the time and thought you give to your responses Amanda. Sharing is how we learn, change and grow!
I hate when people automatically assume I am something because of my gender. Such as:
(*Bullshit train*)
Excessively afraid of sa,
Afraid of men,
Afraid of bugs,
Weaker personality,
Weaker physically,
More emotional than men,
ALWAYS WANT SYMPATHY FOR PAIN. (AS IF I HAVE NO DIGNITY! AS IF I WOULDN'T HATE MYSELF FOR CRYING IN PUBLIC! I WOULD!)
Look, just because some idiot says 'women are more emotional, women always want sympathy'... God.
I believe that if you have more sympathy for one gender but not the other, that is no "gender equality."
So, I treat people the way I want to be treated. I ask if they want it before I give advice or sympathy, or even certain compliments. I always ask.
Never assume what someone is, or what they've gone through because of appearances or gender. And I don't want any bullshit about why people should assume things about people and show it, it's just that, bullshit. And rude. Thanks.
I just wish the stereotypes would end. Or at least people to stop judging us by what they see on TV.
Dude... all we want is for our man to look at a room and think to himself, "Wow, the dishes need to be put away," or, "That picture needs to be hung on the wall." And then just do whatever needs doing without me having to ask or tell him.
Any man who thinks, "Just tell me what to do and I'll do it"... Mothers tell children what to do. If I have to mother my husband, I will not be performing wifely duties. The roles of wife and mother are different and if you're electing to behave like a child then that's how I will treat you. 🤷🏼♀️
So, what you are saying is that it means something to women when a man takes care of something without her mentioning it, so she doesn’t have to. Correct?
@StrongMale I'm pretty sure that's what she means
@Bethany22 Okay. Just wanted to be sure. 😊
I sometimes want guys to talk to me because I want emotional sympathy and not because I want them to solve my problems. Some guys do not understand that speech is a normal human need. The other thing is a lot of guys don't understand why I choose not to be emotionally involved with people who disrespect me if they give me money or help me in material ways. One guy slandered me and then hated me for judging him because he gave me rides home from church and he thought he purchased my friendship with his gas money even though he lied about me and was rude to me.
That not all of us want bad men, sometimes a guy will pretend to be a good man only to show his true colors later on down the road. If we where psychic, we avoid such men in a heartbeat.
Wanting a stable partner mentally and financially is not being high maintenance or being goldigger. That's thr bare minimum, every should want level headed, stable partner.
Thanks for the insight. ❤️
If you send me a picture that I didn't ask for. It doesn't mean it's fair that should I send you a picture. So few men understand this logic. This is one of thousands of things men fail to comprehend.
It's trying to force exchange that isn't warranted. Women don't like being manipulated.
Absolutely. (for the record, I have never sent an unsolicited photo to a woman, ever, and I never would!) What are some of the other “thousands“ of things you would like men to understand about women?
That housework and paid careers should not be viewed as equal. Men think that because they work all day at the office, while their wives stay at home to clean, things are exactly equal when it is not whatsoever.
Can you elaborate a bit on this? I’m intrigued.
Men at the office gain more emotional fulfilment at the office than women gain while doing house work. While men get rewarded through pay, praise, and opportunities to socialize and get flirted with by other women, their wives have to do housework and discipline the kids and get none of those rewards. Plus, the kids often like the dad more than her because he gets to be the fun one that doesn't discipline them. Then if she wants him to help more around the house, she has to show him all kinds of appreciation even though when she does it he takes it for granted.
I see. I understand what you are saying now. Very insightful. Thanks for sharing your woman’s perspective!
That paying attention to our silent behaviors is a BIG thing. (at least it is for me)
Okay.. can you explain this a little more? I want to understand what you mean.
You learn her behaviors meaning for example, you're able to pick up more or less when she needs a kiss or when she needs a hug. Some men can naturally pick this up (even though they're not aware of it) and some of them they are just intune with us.
Thanks for your explanation. Good to know!
You don’t have to pretend like you like or love her when you just want to fuck
So.. are you saying that women would prefer to have a guy be more direct about his intentions?
I do not care about your dick. If anything, you send me a pic and I'm gonna accept it as an invitation. As in to come and cut that shi off for ya and you consent.
Yikes! Easy now! 😬😁 Yes, I get it.. women detest unsolicited ‘dick pics’ (I have never sent a photo of my penis to a woman unsolicited). But let’s try to avoid talking about severing a guy’s penis! This question is posed for women to explain a bit about yourselves.. things about being a woman that men might not understand. So, weve settled that women don’t care about a penis unless it belongs to someone they are into or in love with. What else can you share about being a woman that could enlighten us guys?
Yeah, online stuff. You open up with "Hi!" "hey baby" or "Hey, how you doing?" you might be viewed as dry. Usually an opening like that means you are already what the last guy was: predictable. And like that, we ain't gonna answer. To clarify it goes like this
you:Hey
me:hey
You:how you doing tonight? Where are you from? How old are you? You horny? Soo I'm just chillin in bed here. ;) (not at all once but it goes that way usually or worse)
Me: *screams*
Soooo suggestion... well don't think about getting in our pants immediately before ya know us?
Yes, sexuality is definitely different for you gals. Guys are sooo wired for sex.. but we can definitely do better at trying to meet gals halfway and not always come out of the gate with sex at the front of our mind.
to be more empathetic and actually think about how your actions will make someone feel. i feel like men have a very hard time with this.
Okay, can you explain how this relates to women from a woman’s perspective?
Finally it's good too see a guy realizing this. We'll be more understanding, loving, be considered.
The whole penis size question spam needs to go.
I agree! Can you explain why you, as a woman, feel that way?
Yes, because it has been explained many times before and those guys are not catching on.
Gotcha 💯
We guys are in love with our penis, and we want gals to be in love with it too.. but women aren’t wired that way.. and only really care about a penis if it’s attached to the guy they love! And women certainly don’t seem to care about size much at all.
You dont need to be attracted to a woman to be a decent human being to her.
Absolutely. But the question is about what you, as a woman, can help men better understand about you.
I literally just answered the post question…
But you answered it with a comment about men. I want to know about you as a woman.
Stop being selfish for a change! Be consistent when you want us if not live us alone!
Okay, but what do you wish men understood about YOU? This question is not about men, it’s about women! ❤️
Yes indeed, you are certainly more than an object. And you are right, sometimes we just need to listen and not try to ‘fix’ things. I get it. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
I do try! Thanks for saying that. Best to you too.
I'm not optimistic enough to try making anyone understand anything
I’m sorry you feel that pessimistic. I welcome you to try anyway. ☺️
We don't owe you anything.
That’s absolutely true. Can you elaborate on this a bit, for the sake of better understanding?
our periods
I can’t begin to fathom what those are like. What would you like men to understand about them?
I dont care what they think.
Can you elaborate?
On both, if you could.
