Why do females make such a big deal out of holidays and birthdays?

With men, presents aren't needed. Birthdays and holidays, especially Christmas, are days passing by. But with females, they gotta have something and they get hissy even if you forget a present or money.

Everyone is different, but as the saying goes, "It's the thought that counts." For me, gift giving is a love language. I love giving gifts to all my friends and family, both at birthdays and especially at Christmas. Sometimes I spend more than I should, but seeing people's reaction when they open their gift is a wonderful feeling words can't express. I love to make people feel special... but I also like being made to feel special in return. Receiving a gift from someone who is special to me assures me that I am still important to them. It's nice to be thought of, and remembered.

Yeah for some odd reason they interpret it as you don't care about the relationship. They call remembering birthdays and holidays 'emotional labor', and they feel like remembering to organize stuff to do on these days always falls to them, rather than the guy, and they get resentful. I suppose if they knew that guys sincerely don't care about those holidays, they wouldn't feel so resentful.

Because holidays and birthdays are special. Now someone wanting gifts. That’s just entitlement. Especially if they won’t give you anything in return (and if they do it’s something that costs way less then they expect you to spend)

I don’t waste time on these gold digging women who throw fits about this stuff. Don’t come to some guy whose just trying to make a living. If you want a sugar daddy. Go get one.

Growing up, birthdays were important.

I still love them. I also love the vibe and energy during Christmas and New Years.

Presents aren't needed. Just time.

I only have one friend that cares about presents, the others don't.
