My mean roommates friend wants to be friends with me?

i’m not gonna get exactly into why i don’t like my roommate because there’s many reasons, she’s very rude and controlling. anyway she has these two friends, paige and lina. at the beginning of the year, we become semi friends. we would hang out in class or whatever (this was before my roommate started to be mean to me). anyway they didn’t hang out with me which is understandable bc we weren’t close enough to hang out, but they stopped hanging out with my roommate and avoiding her. probably because of her rudeness but they’d also hang out with her but it would be rare. i had one added on snapchat already but i noticed the other girl lina added me but when she did, it said “added by search” which means someone would’ve gave her my username. i asked my roommate if it was her and she said no. which means the other friend gave it. and when i see them in the hallway, they say hi. i get a feeling that they wanna talk to me but they feel like they can’t because they were friends with my roommate first and my roommate hates me. and they seem so chill to hang out with? what would you do in this situation?

I call that very childish behaviour. If I was friends with your roommate but also wanne be your friend or talk to you then there is nobody who can stop me from doing some. Even if your roommate would tell me that she hates you and that I can't or shouldn't talk with you because she has a problem with you, then I would politely tell her that she can go fuck herself and that im in fact inmedietly on my way to go and talk to you. Don't care of she would was angry, crying, happy or anything else at that moment and I would talk to you anyway.

Mature people leave the fight between the other 2 person involved in this fight and would not pick any side in this conflict they aren't involved in.

There is a saying that goes like this:

Never ever make anyone elses problem your own problem. Leave the problem sit there with the person who owns that problem.

If person A is fighting with person B... Person C should be sitting in a chair with a bowl popcorn watching the show from the side.

That is what mature people would do at least 🤷🏼‍♂️

Life's too short to worry about all that. I wouldn't think too much about their intentions because actions speak louder than words. They'll speak up if they want to and you'll reach out if you want. All relationships whether friends, coworkers, family, partner etc, require effort from both parties if you want them to be real long lasting relationships.

So you can either wait for them to possibly make a move or just reach out yourself to find out. If not, then ig neither wanted a friendship that bad.

You can't win them all. Sometimes you shouldn't even bother with them. I'm sure you can find better so-called friends than these. You may find out in life, like in high school, that one year someone is your best buddy and the next you never even see each other because you don't have any classes with them. So you have to ask yourself, were you really friends? Because friends don't drop you just because you don't see them that much. Those people just go through friends at their own convenience. Do you really want that type of friends?

You got to figure out the roommate has a habit of being mean, so my suggestion would be let her be your friend but keep things distant for a while see her actions cause sometime actions speak louder than words, but some people never change, I would be careful of her.

Be their friend if you want to, stop worrying about the details, its not like you are stuck with the choice afterwards if you end up not liking them.

I think you should be friends with them. They seem like nice people and they want to be friends with you.

(I mean unless they're the type that like to drink a lot. You should avoid those people in all cases.)
