Why do women who say they want a guy with emotional intelligence does not have emotional intelligence themselves?

emotions are subjective and therefore to base intelligence on that makes no sense. for example you can tell someone to lose weight and they can respond in many different ways i. e. they toughen up and accept the criticism or they get upset.
