What Would You Recommend For Shyness?

As a man, I must say, I am afraid of most things. Talking to people, making eye contact and most importantly talking to girls. I feel like a girl because I have sexual shyness (as a virgin) This is because I was raised by a very protective family. I don't know what to do. I would appreciate if someone who is not shy and can talk to girls about sexuality very easily can help.

did you know that shyness has a genetic component and that it can be traced back through Family line... talking to Grandparents etc can be informative and help with the "freak that I feel like" shyness thing. Lived experience such as high-demands, critical, excessive teasing, and a distant parent contribute to an insecurity that feeds shyness. It's hard to be comfortable with a Secondary (Friends/Women) group when we interpret our Primary (Family) groups as not approving.

Bigger issues here that required a focused counseling approach. If you think you want to go alone then... Cognitive approach requires vigilant positive rethinking (Counselor strategies here), exposure, get-up in the middle of feared situations/dynamics-we call that Risking (counselor strategies), some "fake it" until you do it social training (etiquette 101).

Volunteer at nursing home. Team sports ( www.meetup.com recreational Indoor soccer, single meets, hobby or political clubs/meets etc)

Each of our bodies vibrates at a slightly different frequency. We perceive these differences in the form of a person’s “vibes.” Some jive with ours while others clash. When a girl on your same wavelength enters your bubble, you won’t be able to help yourself but engage with her. It will feel natural and your shyness will melt away. Trust in this. Forcing yourself out of your shell before you are ready is unnecessary. Wait until it feels right.

When? İ hope it comes someday but time is melting. I'll be 22 in a few months.

The human brain does not fully develop until age 25. No one has appeared yet because in the fabric of your life and your developmental trajectory, it is not meant to happen yet. Accept your angst and trepidation as a part of the natural developmental process. When you are ready, you will know.

Training. Toastmasters. Church. Supportive groups and organizations. Self-help groups and classes. Group counseling. Work your way out of it, no matter how slowly.
