Why would a female friend whisper in my ear?

So this female friend I've been talking to for a couple of months now is a coworker with whom I have a crush.

Usually when we talk she stares into my eyes holding the gaze, even if i look away for a moment i find her staring at me with her body completely turned in my direction, sometimes with her legs crossed in my direction.

The other day this girl, a guy friend and I were talking together and this girl leaned over me and whispered in my ear something funny that occured during her shift. It was weird because she was so close that we softly bumped each other heads and i did not find it necessary for her to whisper such a thing in that way.

Funny thing is that other coworkers have been making fun of us because they think there's something between the two of us but she told a guy friend she doesn't like me. So here i am confused about her behaviour.

Find your nuts and be a man... ask her out. If says no to the date then you know your answer. If says NO, then cut off the attention, conversations, flirting cold turkey on her.

Because obviously she's doing it because she is crushing on you, or because she likes the attention. She could be intentionally trying to send mixed signals to make you want to be more interested in her, because it makes her feel better about her self. Or she could really like you, and just wants you step up and act like a man and ask her out.

See there is no way of knowing until you nut up, and be a man and ask her out. See thats what a man would do, without fear of rejection. He would ask her out... she says no, then you cut her off. No flirting, no nonsense... no talk of just being friends. Because you are man, and if you just wanted to be friends you would not of asked her out. She says no, then that's it. Because if she respected you as a man, and found your friendship desirable then she would of said yes.

When you ask a women out and she says no, because she doesn't think of you that way. That means she doesn't think of you as a man, in the way you would a women to think of you. When she says she just wants to be friends, again it means she wants all the benefits and fun of being friends with a man, without having to respect him as a man. Because you asked out like a man would ask a women, and she responded as women would to a boy, ith let's be friends. Well a real women would just say yes, or no... that's how a real women speaks to a man. She give you no excuse or hullshit, just a yes and no... and a real man will respect that answer and leave her alone and not press her for more.

But if she says yes, then the skies the limits.

Well, until our resident mindreader logs on, all the rest of us can do is guess. Perhaps she didn’t want anyone else to hear what she was saying. Perhaps it was about someone. Who the heck knows? You are the one that she whispered it to. What did she say?

You don’t give a lot of context. The rest of the signals you mention are really not much to determine whether she likes you or not. I believe you are overthinking this a lot. The girl has to look somewhere, right? As far as crossing her legs in a certain direction, don’t even take that to mean anything.

Last thing is just be careful when pursuing a workplace relationship. You likely have not thought about the consequences if things go bad dating someone you work with. Are you going to be able to be around each other? Are you willing to quit if things are too awkward? That is why so many employers do not allow workplace romances. It can be costly to them. Just something to think about.
