My friend gets all the guys so I stole her man. Am I a bad person?

About a year ago, I was friends with this girl who was EXTREMELY popular with guys. She was single, but almost every guy we meet would instantly want her because she’s pretty. She literally could get whoever she wanted and she would get hit on in front of me. I got so jealous that I stole her man and am still with him now. Am I a bad person for doing that?

I feel bad because I had all this jealousy and hate towards her and acted out, but then I found out she’s actually a really good person because she gave me her blessing at first and was nice to me. So I did this to a good person essentially.

That is a very ugly thing, yes, because you acted out of jealousy and not in revenge of something she did, willingly, against you. She wasn't malicious against you, but you became malicious against her. That is unfair and jealousy is your own problem, it shouldn't be a responsibility of others that have to take charge of the damages you cause, it shouldn't bother anyone at all.

However, you can't just "steal" guys, if he chosen you it means he wanted you. If he cheated on her, it means he is a cheater in general (and will cheat on you too when the circumstance will be similar). I mean, it was -their- couple so it was -his- responsibility to stay with his girlfriend, as they agreed to be a couple, and sort out problems with her if there were any. So the biggest misake here was made by him because he holds the highest responsibility, and if she is angry, she must be totally angry at him, but the one who holds the lowest morals is you, in the given situation (and she would be justified to think very low of you).

You should have stopped hanging out with her if you felt inferior to her in front of guys, simply. You would have found a man elsewhere anyway.

Yep. You're bad for that. Learn from it and don't do it ever again. Your jealousy/insecurity is yours to sort out, it's not another woman's fault if she gets attention. Hope this guy and your relationship was worth the cost of your "friendship." But you probably never were her friend if you were jealous of her.

Stealing your friend's food is wrong, BUT what if you're starving and your friend gets all the food in the world and you get none? So is it still as wrong to steal your friends food? Of course not.
