Who motivated women to be feminine more? Mens preferences or comments? Or the internal competition among women?

I saw two billboards today. Side by side. One was advertising Vaseline and the other one was advertising armed forces entrance exam coaching classes.
The model in Vaseline ad was very much feminine looking and the woman soldier marching was looking what a soldier is expected to look like.

That triggered this question, to be honest.

Women have become more feminine? I think I would beg to disagree on that. At least, in the United States anyway. A lot of women in our culture look and dress feminine, but still have masculine energy and masculine habits. Which deep down is the reason why most men ultimately are not satisfied with the women of our society, even if these men don't realize it.

Even all the cute, pretty, curvy big-boobed women on Instagram have masculine energy. They talk streetsy and use trap rapper lingo, call their girlfriends and own boyfriends "bruh," have large area tats of course, like to game, and have messy homes or bedrooms. Some of them even burp loud like men and don't say 'excuse me,' and this I know from personal experience.

On the outside a lot of these chicks look great, but are still full of that masculine energy that isn't really what men want. But a lot of men don't know that and don't even really recognize what they're feeling, they just chalk 'being feminine' up to a woman dressing like it, looking very girly, or having a very sensual feminine figure, but there is still a masculine energy that can be felt. And it's the reason why these guys will still be looking at other women - which is wrong of course, but that's the reason why.

Oh... you are right!
Looking feminine and being feminine are two different things!
I think most girls are just looking feminine and hence, their men feel a kind of odd repulsion. Resulting in them looking at other girls around them.
I think I saw at such a girl in the poster then.

Do you think finishing schools should be reintroduced for both boys and girls? I think they should be. Because common mannerism and etiquettes are getting nearly nonexistent.

Exactly. Ya know, I think those schools would be a good idea. I remember years ago watching an episode of Globetrekker where one of the travelers went down to Argentina and she saw that they actually have schools teaching women feminine etiquette. Wonder if they still have that.

But yeah, would be a great idea for America, and men and women would benefit from it GREATLY. I also think it would help to heal gender relations in our society. Only problem is that the feminists are going to whine about it, and probably the LGBTQ community too.

Women have always been considered the "weaker" sex for I think as far back as ancient greece if not longer. They were always the ones to menstruate (leak blood from privates) and as a result, women of history were even considered "unlucky" at the time that during that phase in their life and cycle. They had to "GO AWAY" to a secluded place and bleed there! They thought something was wrong with her in that she was dying or something. It's very spiritually linked for some reason! Also, back when they didn't really know where babies came from, women became mothers as young as 12 or 13! Often times, they'd probably get their first few periods when they're like 12/13, and become interested in sex and so were married off to MUCH older men at least ten or more years their senior in exchange for property like goats and or more land! The woman then went on to live with the husband (partner) in their bungalow and raised five to six children by the time the woman was like 20 lol. During pregnancy and many months after childbirth the woman is usually not fertile because she'd be breastfeeding and tending the infant and her other children. She'd most likely also get help from her own mother and the mother of the man. They lived many generations in one house. There was no such thing as money. Just bartering (trading) goats for cows, etc. Corn husks for Berry seeds, etc. It was more physical, less mental really. But yeah, women were always the housewives even back then, tending to the child rearing and the cooking. The men hunted and the women gathered!

The man killed the meal and the women washed it off and cooked it. Made the clothes, knitted/sewed it. The men made the furniture and shot the deer.

I would say it was man's comments and preferences. Some women just want to please men.

And of course society expectations.

As to the initial showing of what it should look like? Mothers, reinforced by society -- Britain and America are two examples.

But later in the 20th century, I believe advertising played a huge role and both men and women wanted to look like those ideals.

Competition. Before the internet and birth control the competition was pretty fuckin fierce actually.
