Why would a girl remove you as a follower, then ask you to follow her back?

So there’s this girl that I follow on instagram. We live in different states so I wasn’t really pursuing her romantically, just exchange funny/sarcastic messages with her from time to time to build rapport.

Anyhow one day I noticed she removed me as a follower (not blocked, just removed as a follower). I message her about and she claims she got “upset” because she took my sarcastic comments as being condescending/judgmental. After I explained that I like to joke around and was being sarcastic with her that smoothed things over. Anyhow after that happened I didn’t follow her back right away, I waited until she flat out insisted that I refollow her (she asked me to refollow her in a humorous way).

Was this some kind of test? Since we are in different states I never considered dating her due to the distance, but she is quite attractive and has a funny personality and I’d be open to dating her if everything somehow all comes together perfectly 😂. What do you all think?

Okay, so maybe two things happened here. One, she asked you to follow back after the mishap in communication and then forgot to follow you. Two, she is playing games and one of these people obsessed with follows.

If it is the second thing, which you can never know unless she admits it, that is pretty immature. Now, is it that important to you that you are both following each other? Or is it more important to you that you are chatting and getting to know each other?

I would wager the second bit is more important. There is way too much importance placed on social media followers these days. Look at my account ffs. I cannot get rid of them. They are assigned to me on signup of this site.

As far as dating, I guess go for it if things seem to be going well. Why not? You have to take a chance at some point if you really like her. The worst that happens is she says no or blocks you. However, you don't really want to be with someone that immature and worried about social media to that extent.

I would suggest you better not follow back. That girl might be wanting to have more followers, I used to follow people and then unfollow them when they follow me back since I wanomore followers I don't know.. But that girl talked to you, and she opened up to you as you said that she had humor. I would also suggest you asking her about it, and figuring out what you did wrong. If she's a true friend then she would understand you as you explain more to her, but if she isn't then no need to keep thinking about her in the first place.

I was already following her and messaging her for probably over a year so I don’t think she’s playing the follower angle since if that was the case she probably wouldn’t have deleted me in the first place?

I figured if she actually was pissed off she would’ve just blocked me and that would’ve been the end of it. It’s like she wanted me to message her over it, that’s why I think this is some kind of mind game 😂

It seems like there are multiple possibilities her, however, I am going to go with what I have seen. Firstly, she's got some friends with benefits, second chair back-up, or husband in her Media account... next step an unidentified fake account...

Secondly and most likely, she lost a follower and needs a replacement or is trying to catch and pass a friend in Followers. I think you can Search for the details on that game and work some "chat her up" about using you etc.

In my opinion she likes you unfollowing you it’s her only way to express that sadness or irritation that maybe you need to game up a little !
I don't know if you like her but if you do well give it a try you won’t die
