Why do people give mixed signals?

Is it because they’re indecisive as a person in general or because they kinda want something and kinda don’t.

From my experience it’s a bit of a mixed bag.


Sometimes it’s actually you. If you like someone enough you may make yourself see things that aren’t there. I used to do this a lot. Sometimes it’s because they like you but are timid or nervous. Sometimes they can’t decide either way so it comes off as being both hot and cold.


Other times, they mentally or emotionally get off on you being into them but they lead you on to get that type of high then if you cross over to being more serious they reject you because they never liked you in the first place. This is what happened to me with the last woman I was interested in. She flirted with me and it escalated to a level I’d never had with a woman but the instant I actually asked her out she shot me down by saying she was seeing another guy. All of the female family and friends I have agree she was leading me on and I wasn’t just seeing what I wanted.

People often give mixed signals because they are receiving mixed signals. This is why speaking to one another is very important.
