WHY DO GUYS GIVE MIXED SIGNALS?

I met this guy and right away i felt this insane chemistry even though we didn't speak to each other. I think he felt it too because we would always stare at each other and get super nervous and look away. It would happen very often. I found out soon that he had a girl so i stayed away. After they broke up, a while passes and he introduces himself to me but he doesn’t make much of an effort to approach me for conversation. He always stares at me still and when he sees me he’ll say hey. Whenever he talks to me though he uses my name so many times, and he finds ways to get close to me sometimes. Whenever I catch him staring though he looks away and puts his head down. he's giving me mixed signals. What does all this mean?

Yeah, definitely sounds like he likes you, he's just shy or nervous.
I'm a big advocate of women shooting their shot, so if you get the chance, ask him if he wants to hang out sometime.

Try to do something simple to get to know him a bit more, maybe grab a coffee or something.
