Girls, Why would she let me know that we can still be friends?

So I was talking to a lady about 8 years older than me. She has 2 kids and I already knew that. She was also recently divorced and has been for a year. So we would talk and text a lot and we went out on a couple of dates and hooked up. We both could talk like we’ve know each other for a while. We had great vibes and personalities. after about 2 weeks, She decided a couple of days later and texted me that“ been thinking and this isn’t really what I want unfortunately. Really appreciate you and your vibes but it’s just not it for me :(“ and that I’m an amazing person and hope there is no hard feelings. We don’t really talk anymore but she comments on my social media post sometimes.
