Girlfriend swears that she didn't lie but something in me tells me there is more to it, how to proceed with this?

I am in a relationship with my girlfriend for 6 years, live together for 2 years. She is sweet, caring and loving, has so many good traits and I would definitely want to marry her.

However, there is something that bothers me about one event. A few years ago she was at the bachelorette party and the next day she told me at first there was a stripper and after a few seconds she said that she is just joking that there was no stripper but that the maid of honor "acted" as a stripper for fun. I didn't think about it for years and then one day I was looking at some old photos with her and there was a selfie of MOH from that party with some guy. There was nothing on the photo except for his head, couldn't see anything else. The photo was posted in their facebook group for bachelorette party.

I asked a few more times because this was really weird, and she swears to life there was no stripper and she has no idea who is the guy on the photo. After all of this we struggled because of some other issues (she was somewhat secretive with her phone in general because she said she does not want me to try to read her messages from the time before our relationship). Her story about the party and all this is very convincing, she swears to hear life there was no stripper. I want to believe her, but something in me tells me something is off here. Why would MOH took a photo with some guy at bachelorette party and post it in FB group... my girlfriend said she has no idea who it is, that it might be someone's boyfriend. But then, why take a take a selfie with someone's boyfriend and post it in FB group...

I said that I want to believe her and that I would like to ask MOH who that guy is, but she is refusing to give me any contact to MOH or contact her by herself, because it is "stupid" that I don't believe her and that it will only embarrass both of us.

Did you guys ever had that feeling where the story is convincing but one thing feels off?

I really need advice how to proceed with this.

Who cares? Seriously. Based on how much you're blowing up something stupid from years ago, she said there was a stripper and then realized you'd flip out about it like you are now and so she said she was kidding. Yes, she's likely lying, but just get over it and move on.

if she is lying to me, she can lie about anything else, would you be in a relationship/marriage with someone who is lying to you?

So she lied about there being a stripper at a party a long time ago. I guarantee you've lied to her before. No one is 100% honest to everyone about everything all the time, and you're lying to yourself if you think you're any different. If you're somehow thinking of ending a relationship over something so dumb, then you'll be alone forever because you'll always find something else dumb to end all the other ones over.

of course i might lied about things I am not aware of, but to look her in the eyes and swear about something while lying, do you really think it is normal? I am 100% sure I never lied about anything like this and never would. If there was a stripper and she admitted right away (don't now why she shouldn't), no problem. But to hide it like that...

If your SO lied to you about something like this, for years, look into your eyes and lied to you, please tell me how would you feel?

What's the background of the pic with the dude? Are they in a bar? COuld be a random guy just in the pic.

background is just the house inside where they held the party. Can't be random guy because it is in some relatively isolated place not in a bar.

She's absolutely lying. No way she has "no idea" who the guy is. And the difference between men with female strippers and women with male strippers is that women are encouraged to touch the men and often will

She says she assumes it might be someone's boyfriend that came to pick up his girlfriend in the morning. As I said, if that happened why is it meaningful to post it to facebook group... She sad if there was a stripper she would never touch him.
How do you know all this about women's behavior?

I mean you could tell if the picture looks like a night picture or a morning picture.

I think there was some light in the background, hard to tell if it was morning or some other kind of light. Anyway, do you understand what bothers me, why take selfie with someone else's boyfriend at the end of the party... Not saying it is not realistic, it could be the case, but something in me tells me there is more to this.

she didn't take a selfie, MOH did take a selfie, not sure if you read it correctly. My girlfriend can't recognize the guy. But why would MOH take a selfie with anyone, especially at bachelorette party there are no guys, except if actually someone's boyfriend came in the morning, but again, why take a selfie.
