After reading about cheating or toxic men and how men act and don't give you "princess treatment" in front of friends and i start to question my own relationship even though everything is fine... Why is TikTok and Instagram Reels so toxic?
+1 yI don't know if these social media platforms favor this type of content, and disseminate it particularly, but it certainly seems so.
The problem with this belief is that so many young modern women think like this; so, there is a lot of the content made. And misery loves company; so, just like a previous question I posed asked why single women love keeping other women single, creating content such as "he ain't shit" "know your worth," "if he doesn't (fill in the blank) leave his ass (while an "empowered woman" walks away in heels, possibly getting on a plane, and fluttering her fake lashes) seems to be something young modern women thrive on. It's as if by producing this content they're justifying, or validating their outlook and actions.
Even a young content woman (and I'm using the term young liberally, the content appeals to women up through their 50's) will start to see her relationship as lacking in some fundamental way, or her man as less than what she "deserves." Be careful when being around this.

I can respond now I guess... I was saying because it's C-h-i-n-e-s-e propaganda. Destroy the west from the inside out. You look at their TikTok... stuff like a little girl playing violin classical music. Ours... some chick that complains about how bad her dates are and how that somehow translates to all men being very toxic.

(This is not meant as a criticism to you.) But people really need to stop listening to strangers on the internet who dole out life advice for profit, just to generate clicks and ad revenue. It's a recipe for disaster.
What the world needs is critical thinking, independent thinkers. Don't rely on others to do it for you. TikTok is a cesspool of lowest-common denominator crap.
Read a book or an article from a reputable source instead. Start there. Or, just get off the internet sometimes.
(by the way, I like you, from what I've seen. This isn't a slight. I'm just particularly frustrated right now with so much negging, negativity, alarmism, garbage being spewed out there, and the polluting of minds.)

+1 yThe answer lies within your question. It's TikTok and Instagram. Ever since social media became a thing, society started to lose grasp on common sense, morals and values. Now we have given platforms to toxic individuals shoving their views down other people's throats and gaslight people into thinking they are somehow bad because they don't adhere to their worldviews.
I talked to my girlfriend about this. So many of these bozos on these platforms talk smack about traditional relationships and men like myself who have more traditional and conservative standards. So I am "toxic" according to these baboons but yet my girlfriend and I are leading a happy relationship. All while THEY are single and miserable.
So the point is, if you feel content in your relationship, why allow a third party, who you most probably don't even know personally, dictate how you should view your relationship? Every person, including your boyfriend has their way to show love and affection that may not adhere to another person's standards. As long as you're being respected and are happy with being with your boyfriend, who gives a damn what someone else says? YOU are the one who is in a relationship with him, not them.
These people are miserable and thus want you to be like them. Quit giving them the opportunity to sabotage your blessings.

+1 yThe world is changing. The roles of men and women are changing people are going to look back at this time period a thousand years from now and talk about how computers changed society forever.
We can all understand how eachother feel. We're bombarded with opinions, propaganda, reactions, art and perspectives.
These videos have less to do with the platforms and more to do with how social norms are evolving from some of the changes brought on by being able to communicate so easily and quickly.
You don't trust your partner? It's not hard to spy on them. How are you going to handle that stress and think clearly at the same time?
People are filled with anxiety because of the amount of uncertainty in the world right now. You never know what you're going to say to turn people away from you because these days, people are willing to turn on their friends because of little things.
Loyalty is considered stupid, confidence is considered dangerous, love is mistaken for hubris. Passion is looked at as lowly and happiness is treated like selfishness.
Men have legitimate reasons to feel like being toxic and so do women. But the smart people are only mildly guided by their cynicism rather than controlled by it.
In the words of Master Khan: if while building a house, a carpenter strikes a nail and it happens to bend, does he lose faith all nails and stop building the house?
Your house could be a business romantic or family relationship.
Maybe these are the growing pains of changing times since nobody seems to know what to expect from others anymore.
10 Reply because its (anti) social media. things like this are why social media is actually more of a wsy to be anti-social. since its advent, it has caused the majority of people to only rely on it forcommunication and thus pushed society into not knowing how to actually socialize with one another. on top of that, most influencers started off as just the loudest mouths (often spewing hate, nonsense, and outright lies) so started getting more (negative) attention than others due only to how loud they were. after that a lot more people decided, instead of seeing it as the negative attention that initially was (thus showing a lessened mental ability) , to emmulate the behaviour and perpetuate this standard for attention, often spewing more misinformation. due to so many giving such attention to them, their nonsense started becoming "the truth" and increased the lack of mental ability of the majority in the process. we now are in a cycle of this repeating over and over, making the masses dumber by the day because now instead of actually thinking, critically analazing, or even trying for themselves most of society at large lets machines do all the brain work for them. the same machines that were meant to be tools and enhancers.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt is important to note that social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram have algorithms that promote content based on user engagement, including likes, comments, and shares. Therefore, it is possible that some content promoting toxic relationships may receive more engagement and be promoted by the platform. It is important for individuals to be mindful of the content they consume and its potential impact on their mental health and relationships.
It is not necessarily TikTok and Instagram Reels that are inherently toxic, but it is the content that users create and share on these platforms that can promote toxic behavior and attitudes. Social media platforms have algorithms that promote content based on user engagement, including likes, comments, and shares. Therefore, it is possible that some content promoting toxic behavior may receive more engagement and be promoted by the platform.
However, it is important to remember that not all content on social media is reflective of real-life situations, and it is important to take everything you see on social media with a grain of salt. It is also important to maintain a healthy perspective on your own relationship and not compare it to what you see on social media. Every relationship is unique, and what works for one couple may not work for another. If you have concerns about your relationship, it may be helpful to speak with a trusted friend or a professional counselor.
10 Reply579 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. I had a back and forth with one of these “princess treatment” chicks. Her grift is teaching women to find a “high value man” (aka rich) man to spoil her right out of the gate. The richer and more masculine the better, according to her. What’s crazy about her is that she has this whole hour long story about her toxic marriage to an MMA fighter who basically mentally and physically abused her. I tried to tell her that’s what you risk when you chase after rich, powerful, and overly masculine men…they want to use, abuse, and control. But she REFUSED to admit she’s got a fundamental flaw in her strategy chasing men like that. In spite of being an abuse victim/survivor, this chick is STILL advising women to look for the same type of dudes like that guy.
38 Reply- +1 y
MzAsh... that chick should've listened to you... you're on point in my opinion.
- +1 y
I don't understand these chicks that figure out or have the means to get their own money... then they chase dudes with the purpose of getting money out of them as if they don't have their own. Like no bullshit... it confuses me. Like, why work so hard to provide for yourself and then just look for a guy to do it for you and end up with some abusive kickboxer they complain about later? I don't know... it's like... I wouldn't want a daughter of mine to be that retarded. It's like choosing... a lifestyle to be one way and then just trying to be the other way at the same time... what the hell?
- +1 y
Im still trying to fully understand the gold digger mentality myself. Maybe I’ve just always had too much of my own dignity. It’s not that difficult to make your own money and you know, not have to worry about being under someone else’s thumb. This chick is very much about getting access to men’s money but never mind that he threatened to kill me! Like wtf.
- +1 y
Seriously like WTF? I was talking with a dude earlier and the chick was making him be a chick because he cheated. Trying to talk sense into him... like the chick you were trying to talk sense into, they're just non-respondence.
Like, imagine being back in the old days trying to save a slave and even give them a place to stay... They're like, "no, I have to stay." We can't help them. At least I'm starting to think that way. - +1 y
Mash, not every Rich is going to be like that. Makenzie Bezos has become rich by divorce.
+1 y1st of all) Because its entertainment
2ndly) princess treatment doesn't exist unless you're with a woman, so its more likely that it is promoting the reason for lesbian sexuality because you're talking about something that doesn't exist by your concerns about what men dont do.
3) cheating and toxic are 2 seporate things to your quote of concern of what men dont do & makes no point to your statement of how tiktok and instagram reels are infulencing you on an issue you dont have.
I suggest to rebel because obviously there is a society of woman rebeling against relationships with men.
So if anything you should probably be challenging there sexuality to report matters that you find offensive as a hetrosexual!
10 ReplyWelcome to Western culture, ma'am.
Everything in this Americanized Western culture is about generating insecurity, anxiety and jealousy on us. It's about filling your life with resentment, fear, uncertainty and self-doubt. It's about making you think you're never getting enough. It's about making you hate yourself and think you're a loser.
Weak minds are easily controlled by others. The Western "system" is about making people as morally broke as possible in order to reign over them. These people will never be happy, will never unite themselves around their common interests, will always lack initiative in life, will always have frivolous aspirations in life.
Luckily enough, you're better than you think and you won't let those things influence you because you have a good heart and critical thinking.
Have a wonderful week, Cool Cat!

+1 yThis is harder to do but stop comparing yourself and your relationships to those on social media. Firstly, because many of the "wonderous" things people are doing on there are a façade. They might look like they're really happy and have a Hallmark movie perfect relationship but in reality they are constantly depressed or worse.
As a bit of advice and this is common for many young women, stop trying to find "problems" in a relationship with a man. You cannot allow your mind to make you try and look for things bad even though you know things are actually okay. Many good relationships have withered away because SOMETHING had to be terribly wrong even though there wasn't a concrete reason that could be provided. In reality what might happen next time is you end up with someone who really will give you something to worry about.30 Reply

+1 ywomen consider ANY man who stands up to their entitlement or tells them the truth as “toxic”.
women who expect “princess treatment” are the toxic ones. Outside of sex, what do you actually bring to the table? Why do you feel you deserve princess treatment?
Have you ever given your man a shit test? Have you ever thrown a tantrum for not getting your way, or removed sex as punishment?
Have you ever given him an ultimatum? Have you ever hit him?
Have you ever stopped him from doing something he enjoys or hanging with someone?
if you answer yes to even one of these… you are the toxic one.A man will be blunt, a man will set boundaries, and a man will hold you responsible for your actions and choices. This does not make him toxic.
10 Reply The biggest toxic TikTok creators are female, there are more females who use TikTok on a daily average.
There's a double standard where toxic femininity rewarded but the opposite is condemned. These toxic female videos all saying *kill all men* *chop his member off* *if a man says, no take it anyway* shit like that and they get to keep making that content, where as a man man can say something not even half as bad still get cancelled.
So if you're wondering why there is so much toxic content on TikTok, look at your fellow female creators because it's made by and made for females.

+1 yOne major reason media promotes self doubt is because making you question your own intelligence is easier than winning your loyalty by being more intelligent then you. I know guys and girls who try to destroy the confidence of their romantic partners because it’s easier than building themselves up to be better versions of themselves to secure their partners loyalty.
