Has TikTok become a dangerous social media?

All of the sudden several teens have been getting severely burned doing the stupid fire challenge on TikTok videos.

Instead of promoting educational material and actual things you can cultivate your brain with, they're doing dangerous challenges. Common sense tells me that just the words ''fire challenge'' means anything can go wrong playing with fire. It seems that this is the trend nowadays. There wasn't any of those dangerous challenges in my time. I never once heard of the fire challenge when I was a teen. Some time ago, I've read about a girl pouring hot water on her sleeping friend as a ''prank''; also influenced by social medias. It seems pranks have gone too far too.

I have a 3 month-old baby boy and I plan on eduating him (when he gets older) on not doing any stupid challenges/dares that can cause permanent damages.
