funny how natural biological male behavior is seen as an a "problem" to be stamped out and even dudes will cosign because they secretly want to steal another man's girlfriend by lowering his guard

but I'm certain you ladies out there would want your father, your brother or your male spouse to come to your protection if you ever got into serious trouble

i think invading a girls boundaries is a problem but not protecting

and you gotta think before u say things because you may overwhelm them think about the way you say something

You have respect who your girl is, her background, her interest, her freedom. You can't control. You can protect with good communication

control these days is a matter of perspective. some girls would be absolutely loyal to their man and never think about doing anything that jeopardizes the relationships. others disregard their man completely but if the man has boundaries e. g. "you can have a girls night out but I'm willing to walk away from the relationship" that's not controlling. both individuals have choices

well you can't be absolutely "loyal" to anyone right off bat and you can lose trust and what im saying is you have to respect people boundaries and freedoms and it not healthy if you

girl night i dont see what wrong with bein with oppsoit gender for party/fun or clos friends

that depends on what goes on during the girls night out. a sleepover party at a friend's place isn't an issue just like it shouldn't be an issue when the lads get together for fishing or sports or gaming or movies.

but dressing provocatively, full of makeup to hang out with friends who can't hold a relationship or have cheated before on their BFs only to go and get drunk at a nightclub pull of horny men is not something to be fond over, same thing for guys who let their wingmen take them to the strip club

ya should be respect of boundaries and communication and empathy on both sides. im not saying its bad to want the girl to respect the relationship and her self im just saying its bad to invade boundries and take away there personal choice as a human being. cus i think thats unhealthy. id want to maximize my gfs social and casual life so she is happy.

taking away personal choice would be forcing the guy to accept his girl putting herself in situations to jeopardize the relationship. she has a choice to do that and he has a choice to walk away. boundaries aren't being invaded in case because both parties have free agency.

nobody is saying no one is allowed a social life but there's always a time and place and many different factors in the situation. for example parents should be ok when their kids go the movies with their friends but they shouldn't be ok with their kids doing drugs or committing crimes. these are all choices but some choices are better than others

taking away personal choice isn't ok. and i never said you meant that, you explained yourself and i dont view as a control freak, juss high standards by todays view.

what i said earlier was that what u said overwhelmed and confused me so i wanted you to explain it better thats what I meant

if maximizing her own happiness means she can put herself in situations that potentially jeopardize the situation, then its your choice whether you can be content with it or not. you can't stop her from doing what she wants (that's her choice) but she can't stop you from doing what you want (that's your choice) and if you choose to walk away that's also fine. nobody controls anyone

I think this article is pretty accurate. As a woman, I love when a man is protective or territorial over me because it makes me feel like he genuinely cares about me. Makes me feel safe. Obviously there are limits and jealousy can become overbearing at times but once in a while is nice. It's also pretty accurate in saying that men feel the need to fight for a woman because it's in their biological nature. I don't think this is really concerning as it's just presenting data.

Yeah it depends. If he gets mad because she is trying to order food and its a male waiter.. yes thats a problem. But him not allowing me to go out alone in the dark or not show cleavege is hot.

Men like protecting women and women like being protected. It makes sense. They found that men have much less testosterone levels now than what they had about 50 years ago. When men where also more protective of their women.

i know but there's nuances herre and i hear women complaining about controlling or objectifying behavior these days and being independant and the word "over protective" is nuanced cuz I've heard so many girls say "i like being protected" but dont over protect me to a toxic level
