Girls, I have been friends with a girl for like 6 years, and in 2021 I asked her on a date. She said yes, then no, and slowly stopped talking to me?

I go to the same college as her, but in diferent carrears. She sometimes talk to me in chat, but when i aswer she stops talking (and we used to talk all day long sometimes). Did i screw things up? I didn't tell her someting like "im in love with you", i just wanted to go on a date.

The problem is that you may not have said that you loved her but the fact that you asked her on a date is about equivalent to saying those dreaded 3 words.

Usually, when guys ask a girl to go on a date, it is because they have something up their sleeve and you have to ask yourself what your real intentions were when you asked her out.

She got cold feet knowing what was going to happen after that date. It is almost always a choice to make. Either you remain friends and you don't date or you date and you lose the friendship.

She probably preferred to remain friends rather than to lose the friendship in favor of something more ephemeral.

If she just stopped talking, then her interests have switched and your best option is let that friendship slowly die off. Obviously she is not interested in pursuing that relationship on a friends basis any longer.
