When women say they want an "emotionally available" man they mean just that. AVAILABLE! Capable of emotions. That doesn't mean she wants an emotional guy. Women will ALWAYS want what they want when they want it. What she mean is she wants a guy with an emotional switch that she can turn off and on when she deems it needed.

Any woman that says this just keep walking. She will always try to control the guy. And the guy will always be subject to her whims. She's not worth it fellas.

she may say she wants emotionally available men, but she's attracted to stoic men

she may say she wants a nice guy, but she's attracted to the bad boy

she may say she cares more about personality than looks but refers to every ugly guy as creepy despite not knowing any of them on a personal level and often likes to judge other relationships based on these superficial factors i. e. a rich guy must be financially "abusing" his poorer girlfriend, a older man must have "groomed" and "manipulated" his younger girlfriend etc. but the thought of the man having a great personality never crosses their mind

Emotionally available isn't the same as being an emotional sap.

Why would anyone be attracted to someone who is emotionally closed off? Women don't want a robot or someone who is cold and lacks empathy.

It's not a sign of weakness for a strong, confident, masculine man to be tender and honest without being a woosie about it.
