Is this the definition of needy?

So me and this girl recently broke up but everything she’s doing is coming off as needy so when we were in the relationship she always wanted to cuddle, always wanted to watch her shows I rarely got to watch my stuff. Now that she’s moving she’s manipulating her friend into becoming her roommate when her friend wanted to live alone and now she has the expectation that her friend will hold her accountable in the gym because the place has a gym where they are moving. I mean in all honesty does this sound stable

It doesn’t matter if it is, it’s none of your business as you broke up. Move on.

But to answer your question anyway: no, it doesn’t sound needy. It sounds very normal to want to cuddle with your partner and watch shows. If anything it sounds selfish, not needy, that she only wanted to watch her shows and never yours. And now it sounds like she feels lonely, which is common especially after breakups, and that’s why she asked a friend if they could become roommates.

When I think "needy" I think codependent which is different from this. Codependence is when you literally NEED someone else by your side to to anything and everything in life because of severe insecurity or anxiety.

Obviously we don't have all the details but this sounds more like a narcissistic person than a needy person. If she's forcing people to do things with her but only on her terms that's pretty self-centered, controlling behavior.

this is what my ex did but for him it was all about his shows. He was selfish is what he was. the touching stuff is normal in a relationship. The roommate stuff is wild but not “needy”
