Girls, Why do you Girls not like being called "Cute" ?

I don’t mind being called cute, a compliment is a compliment. However, it does bother me if a guy only calls me cute.
In my case, I’m short, and I’ve only ever had guys call me cute if they meant it in a “I can’t take you seriously” kind of way, or a “you’re decent looking but not drop dead gorgeous, so this is best compliment you’ll get from me”.
It depends on the person obviously, but that’s just my thoughts. I don’t mind generally, but if it’s a guy I like it would be a lot if other words of affirmation were used (beautiful, stunning, gorgeous, etc).

It’s fine really, however I typically reserve the word “cute” when referring to children and their innocence. Like how a baby smears baby food all over their face. It’s cute stuff like that is what I’d mainly use it for.

I’d rather be called pretty or beautiful instead of cute, but I’d let it slide if he’s genuine. 🙂

cute literally mean just slightly better than average so definitely not a great comment make the person sound like a 6.

Pretty is definitely better.

I think only two person called me cute all the others said I was very pretty and the one saying I were cute were my neighour and a Russian friend from internet.
