Core of femminism is empowering women and MOST positive aspect of femminism is that it helps women develop selfawareness and recognize manipulative behaviors like gaslighting and NOW one possible explanation that comes to mind is some guys dislike femminism coz they can't manipulate women anymore. See what you need to do is open your eyes to how others, especially men view feminism. We don't dislike it if it really is for equality. What we don't like is the bashing of men, that women don't need men. You may like to think you don't need men but everything we pretty much have today is because of men. Roads, buildings, phones, social media, etc. You still need men to maintain all that. I don't like when feminism calls for equality but then backs out when it's not beneficial to women or it's something they don't want to do. Like selective services. Why aren't women fighting for equality to work in triple degree digits on the roads? Whey aren’t they complaining they can't be plumbers? Women want equality in those countries too but if that ever happened who do you think are going to be the ones going to war to fight for that? Most likely not women. No because women nowadays are more likely to be manipulated or how do you explain the situation of single mothers, a situation where women got in bed with guys though the guy probably knew that he wasn´t ready or interested in becoming a father, he just wanted sex so he was nice to her and got sex. No that´s not the reason or at least not the main. I think biggest reason because through feminism and maybe the sexual revolution the idea of men and women being the same just in different biological bodies became popular.

Because of the idea that men and women are said to be the same it came to the confusion that now some guys become more lay back and accept women to take iniative in dating for instance. Because since feminists said that traditional gender roles are off topic to them guys now start to say the same. That´s the confusion of dating that´s in place nowadays because you can´t expect to find a partner for a life long relationship anymore since everybody became self focused.

Nah, they just feel threatened because their role in society is be readjusted. In many ways it's convenient to be "the dependable one" or "the leader" in a relationship. It's a role with clear expectations and allows you to speak your mind. (Of course it can be a lot of pressure, but it's still pretty straightforward. You do what you think it right, end of story.) Meanwhile the "feminine" role of being the emotionally intelligent follower is actually really difficult because of the level of responsiveness and extent to which a person has to hold back from their thoughts and beliefs. (You constantly have to consider what the other person thinks or wants.)

As women step into more "masculine" roles, men are being confronted with the female perspective and don't really like it. If you grew up with the idea that your job is to be strong, independent, and dependable, and suddenly had people coming up to you and saying "but now you have to also be emotionally intelligent, responsive, and thoughtful" you'd probably feel pretty thrown as well. Women are the ones choosing to take on "masculine" roles, more than the other way around. Men know the other side is difficult and don't want to have to do it after they spent their lives trying to fit the role they thought was implied at birth. That's why you see way less of this issue in the younger generations: guys who don't expect to play stereotypically masculine roles are more comfortable adapting to a relatively complex set of expectations and relationships. Same a young women.

(And there are some "hard-core feminists" misrepresenting the movement. Misandry may not be common, but it's not like it doesn't exist. Women are way more used to overlooking misogyny, so men tend to be kind of shocked to see the opposite.)

I suppose I'll be the minority here... and you know, I really don't care.

I don't dislike other women for their lifestyle choices, but I'm getting pretty tired of having self-adopted labels being imposed on me.

Feminists would say that I'm oppressed - funny though, I don't recall anybody actually asking me.

I'm not perfect, I do have flaws, which I own up to, but I won't ever wear a label to make others feel comfortable.

I will, however, stand up for children Every. Single. Time.

I teach kindergarten - they are five and six years old and trying to take on home responsibilities beyond what's feasible. I'd encourage you to come visit and see firsthand the repercussions feminism has had on society's littlest.

Imagine thinking that raising your own child has less value than conquering that corporate ladder.

To your child you are everything and they're only little for a short time.

To corporations you are expendable. If you were to drop dead - your replacement would be hired by the end of the day and business would continue to move right along without skipping a beat.

Further, the men that I personally know are family men. They work hard to support their families, and they don't complain about it.

The men that I happen to cross paths with throughout my day are respectful and courteous. I happen to like having doors opened for me, and I am courteous in return.

I'll agree not all men are nice, but let's be real - neither are all women.

I’m all for women being treated fairly and support the women in my life to better themselves but I do not support the feminist movement. The feminist movement actively promotes the #MeToo movement where alleged sex offenders are guilty until proven innocent. Wrong. Feminism has been a complete disaster and is a blight upon humanity. The family unit, which is the building block of any successful society, has been wrecked by it and more children are being raised by baby mommas and having much worse outcomes than children from two parent households. The prevalence of OnlyFans has just poured gasoline on the dumpster fire that is our modern society and many kids will likely find their mothers' content and be scarred for life and bullied for it.

We are literally in a grace period right now until the next generation of men who would have to replace the current workers figures that out.

Finally, Feminism has destroyed the value and power of labor by flooding the labor market with all these extra female workers who would have been staying at home in previous generations. All the great gains the labor movement made for worker's rights like the minimum wage, 40 hour workweek, etc were made when men did most of the work and most women were homemakers. Ever since women entered the workforce these gains have been getting undone.

In short, Feminism is nothing more than women causing the destruction of civilization by being entitled whores.

No, that's not why men dislike feminism. Men dislike feminism because it is dishonest, divisive, victim minded, and anti-male. You're an example of all of those.

I know some powerful women who are wonderful, warm, sexy and feminine. And i know others who walk around with a chip on their shoulder who couldn't charm a kitten. I take it you are among the latter.

The fact is men love women who are kind, compassionate, enjoyable to hang out with and know how to treat a man well. Whether or not they are "powerful" is irrelevant. The "powerful women" who think men who dislike them are sexist are simply not likeable people and they use "sexism" as their scapegoat to explain away their personal failures. Where I see much of the backlash is from overreaching.

While I can't answer for all men, I can say that I personally support true feminism and equality overall.

I believe that you're right that there are some guys who dislike feminism because they no longer get to manipulate and abuse women and get away with it. However I will say there are some men who are actually just afraid of certain extremist feminist groups who call for violence, enslavement and it even death to all men. And while those groups are few and far between, it could be that those are the only types of feminists that those men were exposed to. There are also men who are distrustful of feminism because of the manipulative women in their own lives.
