Girls, why would a girl say special lovey dovey things through text but then not be serious in person?

why would a girl say these things like " when you realize your first love wasn't really your first love" to me the second dude like im the real first love, "you'll alway have a special place in my heart", and act like she wants to get married and have kids? but is playing games. this is the worse person on earth. Been several years and it bothers me. She never took me serious or gave me a chance. This is the type of girl that doesn't deserve shit in life for playing love games. Why use someone like that lol

Text is "safer" if that makes sense. You don't have to worry about the other person's reaction the same way, you don't have to respond immediately, etc. I'm not really clear on what's happening here though. Are you thinking she's playing games because she doesn't verbalize these things or did she do something else to make you feel like she wasn't serious?

She’s not trying to be horrible. I’ve done that and I don’t like to look too vulnerable or lame by bubbling over with love in front of a guy or our friends when I might look like a crazy person or an idiot.
