If a girl just gives really short replies in texts?

If a guy and girl are starting to talk in WhatsApp texts and she just gives short answers and kind of just replies to whatever he says/asks... sort of interview answers and never asks or says anything in return.

What does this mean?

Also should he try calling her or no need to bother her?

She's totally uninterested in talking with him

She's shy and introvert

Maybe he should try calling her and see how she talks

I used to meet a ton of girls like this in my younger years. The texts/messages went exactly like you described. Back then I never could make sense of it either, and it would always frustrate me that I was the one doing most of the talking and asking the questions. At one point I thought maybe it meant the girl just wasn't really interested, but if a girl is truly not interested and is bored talking to you, she's simply going to stop responding and might even block you.

So as I got older I started chalking it up to them being shy/introverted, and that actually did turn out to be the case for a lot of them. Because over time as they became more comfortable with you, they would start to open up more and talk more. Almost as if they're waiting to see how long you stick around before they get warmed up enough to do this.

I can say that oddly you will find yourself becoming very attracted to this about them, but then in most of my cases they often ended up breaking my heart. And even if they don't, it takes a lot of patience to want to stay connected with girls like this, and as I grew and talked to more women, I just preferred meeting the ones who are more outgoing and do want to ask about me.

I wouldn't say "totally uninterested" she is at least replying, but I think she is basically telling him he's texting too much and maybe cut back on it.

She could just be a terrible texter, but most of the time it's just that she doesn't have enough interest to.

She may be mirroring what she has seen in the past from guys. In my experience guys give short answers as well
