How to be more of a jerk?

I've acted like an asshole my entire life in hopes that I would get respect in return and get a girl to fall for me. So far, it hasn't worked out. I'm concerned I might not be doing enough. Is there anything I could potentially be missing or not doing enough of?

Stupid, I guess. My goal in asking the question is to get answers in order for me to become slightly less stupid.

Be more aware. People you're surrounded with. Like, how you interact with anybody making them look stupid.

I do talk down to people in general. I tend to act like I'm better than them.
