I take iron supplements as I’m very iron deficient due to heavy periods.
Do you eat red meat, if not, why not
This book I got says heavy menstrual periods could be caused by iodine deficiency / hypothyroidism
If you use fluoride toothpaste, drink chlorinated and fluoridated tap water, eat a lot of raw cruciferous vegetables, live in a hot country and sweat a lot, or consume no iodine rich foods like seawood or no iodized salt, you will have an iodine deficiency
I eat a lot of red meat and other high iron foods. But I have digestive issues that make me struggle to absorb iron, which keeps me iron deficient even though I eat iron rich foods and take iron supplements.
Whats your digestive issue?
I have CVS, which I take medication for to stop most of the symptoms. But I still don’t absorb nutrients and vitamins properly even with the medication.
Does the medication stop you from vomiting?
Yes. It reduces the amount of acid in my stomach so that I can’t vomit.
