How to persuade my girl to get a restraining order against a guy bothering her?

I have come to the conclusion that getting a restraining order would be the best course of action as he just won’t stop flirting with her. The problem is, she is too shy to turn him down directly, he won’t listen to me, and she thinks its not that bad. Yet that is. Because with dudes like him, its always going to get worse. I know how his type is. He is the type of womanizer who flirts with taken girls, and probably would cheat too. I’m her future boyfriend, so how can I convince her to get that restraining order before the other guy goes from bad to really bad?

You sound insecure. Do you have reason to believe he might be dangerous? Otherwise I don’t think you can get a restraining order just for flirting? Also your girl should really be the one to tell him off, but also it’s easy to deflect flirting and just tell him off. She’s not enjoying it , is she? 🤔

We are soulmates. It has always been us. Once she is ready she is going to date me. She is not aviable for anyone else. So you are technically correct, but its more complicated than that. I’m her kindred spirit, he is just a jerk.

Ok, but she is single and ultimately it is her choice if she wants to entertain the attention from this guy and based on your description, it doesn't sound like she is ready to do that just like she apparently isn't ready to date you either.

No, it's on my friend to stand up for herself and tell them to back off. It's especially wrong if I was trying to get with her myself. That's kinda creepy really to be like that.

Someone flirting with your girl isn't grounds for a restraining order. There has to be some sort of threat. Get over it. She should be able to talk to him like an adult and reject him if she doesn't welcome the attention.
