The bell curve in dating sites statistics , etc. Shown mostly show that men rate women on a fairly even bell curve and women rate men on a more uneven bell curve with most being unattractive. The thing is unlike the men the women are often in wearing makeup probably touch up their photos etc , so I just thought maybe if women removed their makeup didn’t pluck their eyebrows and stuff. Remained more natural like how the men are , would way more women be considered average or even ugly.
We know how much makeup can dramatically change a woman’s appearance in some cases and how often women use makeup. Hell even highschool/secondary school kids go to school wearing a ton of makeup. It’s so normalised that a woman without makeup is very likely to be seen as “ugly” , this is not even to just regular women we see celebs who spend tons of money on their skin and body but still get bashed as “ugly” by some people when seen without makeup.
This is just food for thought tho , if women didn’t wear makeup and stuff , would most women be considered below average (unattractive) by men on the bell curve. Similar to how it is with women rating most men below average (unattractive) in the bell curve.
