Nope. I avoid it like the plague. While I always appreciate a nice compliment or whatever I don't like lots of DMs. For example on this site I don't follow users and have my messages restricted so people can't randomly DM me. I don't want them. It defeats the purpose of a site like this where I want to be answering questions and not stuck in DM constantly. It's not different on other social media sites. I restrict who can see my content to only family and friends.
