Depends why you need a hug is she a good friend? Are you troubled with something and need to talk about it? Ask if you could meet, say you’ve got stuff you want to get off your chest and you were hoping she would be a good listener. Once you’ve talked about what you needed to get off your chest and you still need a hug just say you could use a hug. If on the contrary she’s the one who’s been sad and you feel like cheering her up same thing invite her out for coffee and some cake and if she seems sad just give her a hug cause you thought she could use one. what’s the worst that could happen? I admit I’m also an hugger, unless she’s not a good friend in that case don’t hug her, hugs are for good friends and family only ✌️

Just ask for one and make sure she is cool giving hugs. Make sure it’s also a 3 second hug and not a tight squeeze then I might come off as sexual.

Why do you want a hug? in my opinion it’s always gonna be a bit awkward to go up and ask for a hug, it’s more natural if it’s like a goodbye hug, congratulations hug or even in a group hangout session a natural side hug.
