No, shy guys don't understand how to control you or lead the family. Shy and quiet is different. Quiet and confident men are the best kind because they know what they are doing but are not arrogant. It's like this, there are two men. Man 1 always brags that he is good at sex, but performs horribly in your first session. I think your view is pretty common. I can think of NO shy guy who has better dating prospects than he would if he were outgoing. None. Zero. So yes--it's POSSIBLE for a shy guy to have success, but his success comes in SPITE of his shyness, not because of it.
