Why do girls have a date to prom but don’t show them off? I see prom posts of girls but their dates are usually in one photo or not at all so why?

What do you mean show them off? Like take pictures? I know that I took a lot of pictures with my date for the prom. He was just a friend though. I wasn't dating anyone and we went as friends just to have fun. Was I supposed to be showing my friend of like hey everyone this is my friend? I don't really understand the question because you are not there to show off your date but to have fun with your classmates. It shouldn't be taken as seriously as you think it should.

It’s because your prom pictures will last forever and your date might last in your life for 1-6 days so you don’t want him in your photos because you want to remember the things in your life that are important.

If it’s their prom date and not a boyfriend why show them off? Some people go to prom as friends.
