I think that is going to be different for different people. For some it might be that they truly stop caring about their ex. Maybe others it has more to do when they stop constantly thinking about the person. Some might really quick if it was an abusive or bad relationship and they wanted out. My point is that I don't think there is one universal sign that someone has truly moved on. That is up for the individual to decide that the past is in the past and they are looking to the future.
