Its UK slang for really wanting to have a baby, just really caught me off guard when she said it and I had no idea how to respond

They do not. Maybe it would be better if they did. I dated somebody during a very difficult time on my life. I really was in love with this girl. I was very what could be called broody. I was bogged down with school and other crappy circumstances. She dumped me and went back with her old boyfriend. Looking back I can see that I really was not much fun to be around and maybe if I knew i could have done better.

Broody refers to chickens who won’t get off their unfertilized eggs after laying. Usually because they need to molt.

In your context, I don’t know. They want to be taken care of? I suppose I could give them the same treatment as chickens. Hold them upside down and dunk them in water to shock them back to normal.

Because they want you to listen and show you care about her feelings or at least convincingly enough Because we know guys mostly DGAF about our emotions. Not mad and willing is all most guys need.

She’s either just telling you because she just wants to tell you or she’s hinting. Doesn’t necessarily mean anything. A lot of women say they feel broody when they’ve been around babies.

Why do women call men broody? They don't. It wouldn't make sense if they did. I'm assuming you mean "broody" as in baby crazy, and I don't think most men experience this, unless they are obsessing over their baby that's on the way.

Because with most women it's all about her. If you're brooding you're not thinking about her. She wants you to stop thinking about whatever you're brooding about and think about her.
