I don't get it. Having an extra 10 pounds on your chest hurts your back but, having an extra 150 lbs. on your entire body is no problem at all?

+1 yYo man I feel you, that does seem kinda hypocritical. Like if back pain is the issue, being way overweight is way worse for your body overall.
I think part of it is bigger girls don't wanna admit they should lose weight for health. It's easier to get a surgery to change one body part than Face being fat isn't healthy.
Also our society is more accepting of bigger sizes now even though doctors know it causes way more problems than big boobs. People get called "fatphobic" just for saying being fat isn't good.
I think both things can be true - like maybe big boobs do hurt, but also being 150 lbs overweight probably hurts way more. But it's a touchy subject and no one wants to hear they need to change. Easier to just cut off some boob than lose a ton of weight, you feel me?
In the end though we all know being too fat ain't healthy. Doctors ain't lying about that. Some people just don't wanna face it I guess.05 Reply
Asker+1 yI know. I used to be skinny as a stick! I had SOME back trouble but, seems to me, once I started gaining weight 15 years ago, my back was bothering me a lot more. Maybe not in a major way but, enough for me to need to deal with it the best I could or go see my chiropractor. For some reason, I went from 185 to 365 in just a couple years!! And, since then, I've had at least two bouts of SEVERE back trouble!! "Cure me or kill me, I really don't care which!", back trouble!! I've been able to lose SOME weight and have hardly had any back trouble at all since then.
In high school, there was this girl that was just a LITTLE overweight, like 20 lbs. or so and, every time she got up and walked to the front of the bus to get off, other kids on the bus would start singing, "I feel the Earth move under my feet". Even back then, we knew that being overweight wasn't good for you!- +1 y
Yeah man, extra weight can definitely take a toll on your body over time, especially your back and joints. When I was skinnier I never had issues, but once I started gaining in high school I started feeling it.
That story about the girl on the bus is kinda messed up though. Who cares if she's 20 lbs overweight, no need to publicly shame someone like that. We were all works in progress back then.
Anyway, the main thing is just trying to take care of yourself now. Sounds like losing some pounds has really helped your back, so that's awesome. But I wouldn't judge others too much - we all carry stress in different ways. As long as you feel good and can do the things you wanna do, that's what matters. Just do you and let others live their lives too, you know?
Asker+1 yApparently, it's really cool to pick on people because they're different. I remember about 15 years ago, I was on my way home from work one evening. I was just wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Nothing odd or outlandish about anything I was wearing except that, these were REAL shorts, the ones that are about 15" long, not the ones that go to your shoes and are big enough for 3 guys to wear at the same time! That Fart Simpleton look that all the kiddie winkies think is so fab!! I get on the bus and sit near the front because I was gonna be getting off in 10:00, anyway. And, there were these teenage girls in the last seat on the bus making all kinds of noise and being a tad rowdy and, from what I could hear, they were laughing at and making fun of ME! After a couple minutes, one of them came up and sat next to me and started asking questions which, I suppose, were designed to either insult me or get me pissed off. I just sat there and calmly answered them without issue or getting cheesed off. By this time, she had the others come up and sit across from me. After a couple more questions, the others were still laughing at me and the one that sat next to me quieted them and said not to do that because I was pretty cool! They sat there for the rest of the trip asking questions, I answered as I saw fit and there was no more teasing going on! I got up to get off the bus and they happily said goodbye to me and hoped I had a nice night, etc.. Like the old song says, "Things get a little easier once you understand". At least, once you TAKE THE TIME to understand!

I've got a LOT of stress on my shoulders, right now!! Second time in 4 years I'm going through this insane bullshit!!
Absolutely! If 6 was 9!

Yo man, sounds like you handled that situation on the bus real well. Props for keeping your cool even when those girls were clownin on you at first. Takes patience to educate someone without losing your cool.
It's crazy how people will judge over the littlest things, like shorts being a little shorter. But you showed em character is what really matters. By the end they respected you for who you are.
Sometimes all it takes is openin a dialogue, makin someone understand your perspective instead of just laughin at em. Kudos for takin the high road - it probably made em think twice about jumpin to conclusions next time too.
We all go through stressful times, but seems like you got a level head on your shoulders. Just keep doin you, stay true to yourself, and more people will come around like those girls did. You handled it like a pro!
Asker+1 yThank you! Thank you! and now, for my next magical trick, I will attempt to pull a skyscraper out of my nose.
I know! And it only makes THEM look all the more stupid for having done it! One night, after a gig we played in Youngstown, we went to a friends house to hang out and spend the night. It was early Dec. but it was in the 70's!! REALLY nice out! So, we were throwing Frisbee for a while. One of my guitarists was trying to come up with rap on the spot and I was wearing an ordinary blue t-shirt and, in his "rap" he tossed in the line about me wearing a "blue ass shirt". To him, it was funny. I just didn't get it! What's a blue ASS shirt? It only went down to my waist band. It didn't bug me, even though he was making fun of it but, I just couldn't understand what a blue ASS shirt is.
Unless it's somebody I know and I'm just ripping on them about something they said, did or wore, right to their face, because I know they can take the joke, I don't make fun of others.
I'm sure it DID make them think twice in the future! But, they're just teen girls so, ya kinda gotta expect shit like that from them. They still haven't fully formed their filter. Maybe I helped them, do that.
There was a comedian back in the `80's, I believe it was Dennis Blair, who did a bit on Steven King having a nightmare. He's sound asleep and goes, "Yeah? So what? Lemmie guess, the monster eats me, right? BOOOORING!!" Well, I think that's the reason my present major hassle isn't stopping me from making jokes or singing around the house or doing other cool things! I've been dealing with this shit for so fucking long, it just doesn't bother me, anymore!! I'm about to lose my house again, for the second time in 4 years and I'm still making jokes and shit!! It's like, it just doesn't phase me, anymore!! I'm probably gonna be living in a cardboard box under a bridge in 5 weeks but, what the fuck can I do about it if I can't get anybody to lend me the fucking money I need to stop it?

+1 yIt shouldn't be the first response to losing weight for sure, if anything losing weight should come first because it reduces the amount of tissue to remove.
But excess pounds spread across your whole body is one thing. Sometimes even fat a woman could have proportionally massive tits
But honestly? If there's no medical concern and the doctors and surgeons are cool with the procedure, I don't think there's any harm in letting a woman get a breast reduction when she chooses.
Breast reductions can be done for many reasons. It's up to the doctors surgeons, and patient to explore the motives for the procedure and what the next steps should be.03 Reply
Asker+1 ySure does! Fat goes anyplace it can, once your body starts collecting it and, at least with women, their hormones tend to tell the fat to go to the tits.
No, there's nothing wrong with her getting one but, why take the weight from one area and not the other?- +1 y
Fat distribution isn't always even.
Besides, if she's in enough pain that surgery is on the table, maybe a breast reduction will actually enable her to do more exercise. Of course it'd have been better to prevent getting that big, but if a breast reduction helps her eliminate pain, that can also help her get into exercise.
I don't see how it should be not on the table if pain management is the goal.
Asker+1 yCorrect.
Two completely unrelated things you are comparing. If a woman wants to make a change in her body, she will. Just like a breast reduction, committing to losing weight is a personal choice one chooses. There are also a lot of women out here who wouldn’t get a breast reduction and just choose to deal with the pain, just like there are people out here who are actively trying to lose the excess weight. Two completely unrelated things.

Asker+1 yIt's still excess weight on your upper body.
Asker+1 yYou can definitely make your tits bigger. Making them smaller is another story.
Asker+1 yNo, that's why I've got a big one!
And, as I've said, you certainly can make your tits bigger and I've seen insane women that get implant after implant after implant!! One skinny broad couldn't even tie other own shoes because all the silicone in her tits and she STILL wanted more!! Last I saw her, she had at least 40 lbs. in each tit! Maybe YOU should look into some of that! (Tit for tat, baby!!)
Asker+1 yYou said, "I’m not sure why you would think women would choose to have extremely heavy boobs."
OBVIOUSLY women DO choose to have bigger tits!

+1 yi don't know anybody who thinks being grossly overweight is okay.
but to play devils advocate, breast mass is putting pressure on a specific point of your back. if you spread out that mass over your "entire body" then there's little to no strain on a specific point of the body.01 Reply
Asker+1 yI meant that there's no apparent problem with carrying around all THAT excess weight.
And, there ARE lots of woke idiots that think it's perfectly fine to be overweight and risk your health.
Well, what if the excess weight ISN'T spread all over your body and it localized in just one spot. Thanks to many circumstances out of my control, I gained a lot of weight a few years ago but, it only shows up in my stomach. I've lost a lot of it since then but, not enough to get me back to my normal skinny self.
u +1 yWell when you’ve got excess weight on one part of your body, it strains other parts of your body trying to compensate for the weight. But when you’ve got excess weight everywhere, it all balances out, not a lot is needing to compensate.

Asker+1 yWhat if most (if not all) of it is in your ass and belly?
- +1 y
Being bottom heavy isn’t as straining as being top heavy. Your legs keep your balance. So if it’s in your ass, then it’ll be in your thighs too, balancing your legs. So belly won’t matter much.
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yImagine being thin and having 2 boobs that are 34 ggg

Asker+1 yAt the moment, I'm thin except for my belly, which is a lost heavier than GGG's.
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah but it's at your waist and women are physically weaker than men

Asker+1 yExcess weight is excess weight.
Opinion Owner+1 yExactly and most women aren't built to carry on their shoulders like men. Men's bones are denser.
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yHa, good question.
