Honestly he doesn’t really buy me things I buy him things and I don’t mind so much but he’s been getting distant. We don’t cuddle honestly we’ve never really cuddled unless we’re alone cuz he hates it. We barely kiss anymore, we never really hug cuz he has scoliosis and always says it hurts we never hold hands the first and only time was in the very beginn Of our relationship and it sucks cuz I’m the type that loves and feels like I need physical touch of some kind any but I barely if ever get any kind of it from him. I don’t feel special there are times he makes me feel like I’m his girl I’m special and loved but most the time I feel like his mother taking care of him.

You said he scoliosis. Does he have a severe case of it? Does he have any other medical conditions? So, his medical condition doesn't allow for him to give you what you seem to need, at least not physically anyway. Wanting a lot of touching, hugging, holding hand s, etc., is one of your six human senses. The one you are talking about is your Tactical sense, sense of touch. Apparently this sense in your body needs a lot of attention. A boyfriend I used to have was just like you are. He needed to be hugged and touched as much as he could get. Even when we would lie down to go to sleep, he had to be holding my hand or finger if nothing else. So, some people are just like that ok?
What I believe is that your boyfriend does tap into other parts of you, like your mind, that keeps you together. Right? Wrong?
So, you are getting something from him that keeps you staying with him, but you didn't really say what that is.
Look, he cannot give you something that you will probably desire for the rest of your life. At 19, you shouldn't have to feel like someone's mother. You sound resentful because he is in your life doing nothing but making you miserable. You are probably staying with him because he needs you because of his disability. But I can feel that it's time to end this relationship. You are too resentful which can only lead to worse things down the road.
Of course he will be crushed when you end the relationship, and he won't handle it very well. But you will be miserable if you stay with him.
When people that are caregivers in a love relationship, it doesn't stop them from leaving just because the other person is disabled and needs you. One day, you will go. You will have had enough and you will go. You might even feel really bad that you left a person that couldn't touch you enough BECAUSE HE CAN'T!!! He didn't ask for scoliosis and he didn't ask to be born either.

My boyfriend treats me as an equal, he shows me respect, supports me in everything I do and makes me feel safe and loved.


I’m ill at the moment and had a horrible day at work on Thursday. I went in despite feeling so unwell and multiple things went wrong. When I came home he had already prepared the bed for me by bringing through blankets, making a hot water bottle and a cup of tea for me! I cried! It made me feel so much better and so cared for!

The way we always talked to each other using our good manners (respect), he told me all day and night he loved me, he said I was the apex of his life. I loved the way he was constantly saying terms of endearment to me. Even if he wanted me to pass the milk to him - he would say "Would you please pass me the milk honey"? He said to me one night just before we fell asleep "My love us wrapped all around you while you're 😴 sleeping". How sweet is that? 💞
He used to bake me chocolate chip 🍪 cookies for me whenever I wanted him to, or just to surprise me with them.
