What can I do to make my boyfriend feel special?

I know that it is highly individual, but what are some surprises and gestures you’d want to receive from your girlfriend without having to ask?

I love my boyfriend very much. We’ve been together for 3 years and he always treats me like a princess. I want to make him feel as special as he makes me feel, but while he’s more experienced, he’s my first boyfriend. I fear that I don’t have as broad of a knowledge on this as he does, and I’m definitely at least partially oblivious to a guys wants and needs. I try my best, but I thought there’s no shame in asking for advice.

Do you know what his love language is? Does he most appreciate gifts given, time spent together, something done for him, a loving touch or loving words? When you determine what his love language is, do things for him that line up with that and he will feel special.

Quality time and physical touch are his main ones, then comes words of affirmation and acts of service, gift giving is last.

Nice gift. Hours of massaging and scratching. Do his chores around his house. Either cook a nice meal or take him on a nice date and pay for everything.

Haha, so you've literally done everything and you've made the first move on those things?

Probably not everything, but we try out new things whenever we feel like it, and he doesn’t have to ask for permission. I fully trust him, so I see no reason rejecting him in any way. Initiative is 50/50 I’d say, both when it’s “normal” and when it’s experimental.
