OOOOOOOOH, OH MY GO-

Recently, my roommate has had his wife move in with him. Everything between me and him was just hunky funkin' dory. Until this b... annoying girl got here. She doesn't play drums, she's not American or anything. But I've been told by him from her to keep my voice down. I was like "Yeah, okay." the first time. Next time, girl said I WAS STILL TOO LOUD. I'm talking to my husband and having a fun time with him. I didn't snap on my roommate because he's a messenger but this girl has gotten on my nerves now. I'm in my funkin room minding my own business and her hearing is MUCH better than mine? With noise cancelling on the walls? The walls are apparently very thin and she can hear me just... talking.

So how I feel? I dont wanna get petty. I'm about to move out in a few weeks and rather peace than trouble. So yeah, i'm annoyed at this girl. I suggested ear muffs of course but she can still hear me... god, i'm glad I'm not the one to start shi, ignoring the consequences. Gonna try to move my tv away from the walls and myself away and see how it turns out.

TL;DR Yes... and I wanna play drums and get petty on the one who told me. But...😮‍💨

When I'm excited, I raise my voice and don't hear it. So, at home, my daughter always tells me to lower my voice. I think people are used to it at work because management no longer complains about it :D

What do I do? I lower my voice, of course.

No not really except maybe if her parents or a siblings where home at her place. Usually when there no around I might moan a little louder and the girl loves it. If I'm raising my voice then steel is breaking leather or it already has. In my profession we don't raise our voices because you don't know who all is listening.

I used to be in the military. I was trained to be a military drill instructor. Drill instructors are trained to be loud. You can hear my shouted hey apparently over 2 blocks away.

But generally I'm not loud.

Nope, quite the opposite. My whole life I've always been told that I'm so quiet, and it's the most infuriating thing ever. Only gets worse as you get older, but it's been happening less now.

yes. My older brother tells me that often. My hearing isn't good so I tend to talk loud sometimes. It doesn't bother me when he tells me to lower my voice.
