I started to notice that females working in food service are always so rude to me, I don’t get it. Last night was one of the more obvious weird interactions. I went to a restaurant I don’t normally frequent, did a to go order. I went up to the counter a young girl was there working and asked her for my order she said “behind you “ and I turned around and a brown bag was on a random table and I grabbed it. I asked for ketchup and she immediately without looking at me “ketchup is in the bag” I look inside and there is no ketchup. I told her there is no ketchup. I continued to ask her for more condiments, and said thank you.
I processed to get a fountain drink and I couldn’t help but notice her hospitality being more suitable to other clients even asking them if they needed “ketchup” or anything else to other customers. I really don’t think I’m ever rude and always show my gratitude to people
I don’t understand why I always get met with bad service and attitude

I feel you - bad customer service is no fun, especially when it seems like the worker is being intentionally rude for no reason. A few thoughts on what could be up with those girls:
- Sometimes girls in food service get so jaded dealing with cranky customers all day that they take it out on the nice dudes too. It's not right, but I get being over it.
- Could be she was having a bad day for other reasons and just taking it out on whoever. We all have off days where every little thing bugs us more.
- There is a small chance she might have thought you were kinda cute and was acting standoffish cause she didn't know how else to act. Girls be actin weird sometimes around guys they dig.
- Or she might have just not liked your look or vibe for some reason even if you were being polite. People can be judgmental over silly things.
Don't stress it, probably has nothing to do with you. Just brush it off and don't let one rude chick ruin your night. Keep being your polite self with the other workers - karma will get her back for sure. Don't let em get you down!
I wouldn’t have a clue. Maybe just bad luck and you seem to run into horrible food service workers. I’m kind to everyone that I serve at my job, as is my job to provide good customer service and have them leave satisfied. Even if the customer is being a jackass, I’ll still politely try to serve them, and if I can’t, then I step aside for my manager to deal with the issue at hand.
I mainly get better service from men all the time
I love to tip people well when they go above and beyond such as just being kind. Thank you for being different and kind
