Could be a few reasons why she hit you up outta nowhere after so long, man. Here's what I think might be goin on:

- She was thinkin about you and wanted to see what's up. Even if you weren't talkin, she could've still had some feelings.

- Maybe she's bored and you were someone fun to hang with back in the day. Figured she'd see if you're down to chill again.

- Possibly tryna make someone else jealous by flirtin with you. Girls be playin games like that sometimes.

- Could be she wants attention/validation now even if she wasn't givin it to you before.

- Might even be a dare from her friends to text her "old crush" or somethin dumb like that.

- Who knows, she might just be lookin for a hookup if she's single now.

Hard to say for sure dude, chicks are mysterious. I'd probably just play it cool and be friendly but not too invested till you know what her vibe's about. Might just be boredom or could turn into somethin, you never know!

I barely knew her, like I barely spoke to her and the time I knew her was a week. She was a bartender at a place I would go to now and then and I haven’t been to the bar since or spoke to her. Seemed it was more in friends way and I misread it so now I’m not sure.

Yeah dude, that is pretty weird then if you barely knew her. Just a week of talking and that was it? I'd be scratching my head too in that case.

A couple possibilities I can think of:

- She may have thought you were cute/cool and regretted not getting your number back then. Sometimes people realize too late they should have pursued something.

- It's possible she was bored and going through her old phone numbers/contacts and hit you up on a whim without much thought.

- Maybe she's just lonely and figured she'd say hi to a friendly face from the past, even if it was just that one brief interaction.

Hard to say for sure man. I'd just play it casual if you reply. Keep it light and don't read too much into it. Maybe she's looking to hook up, maybe she just wants someone to chat with - who knows. Since she asked for your number herself that was a clear opening you missed though. Real talk, girls almost never do that unless they're interested in some way.

Now texting you out the blue years later is kinda odd, but I wouldn't rule it out completely either. She did save your number all this time after all.

My advice - play it cool when you reply. Say something chill like "Hey, been a minute! What's new?" See where the convo goes.

Depends on the reason you stopped talking in the first place.

Were you just friends? maybe she just wants to catch up.

Did she ghost you? Then you are the option now until she finds someone else that interests her.

Did you date and you broke up with her? then she is reaching out to see if you are going to be willing to talk to her.

Did you date and she broke up with you? Then her last relationship didn’t work out and she is probably trying to fall back on you.

Regardless, either play it cool until you find out her reasons, ask her outright, or just don’t respond.
