It's because the left primarily uses EMOTION - rather than logic or reason - to justify their positions. And the great thing about this method is that you can be on either side of the issue - you can even completely change your stance completely as the need arises - and still make an emotional argument that will make people FEEL like they can only be righteous if they agree (even if you had them pushing the opposite last week). This means there's no reason to actually have principles - stances you stand firm on no matter who disagrees with you, because you have logic and reason and history to back you up.

For the left, the ONLY thing that matters is how they FEEL about something - and their leaders TELL them how to feel, and everyone jumps in line and agrees - and anyone who even questions the party line is immediately canceled. Most can't tell you WHY they feel the way they do or why they've taken their positions, and usually when they try, they get humiliated because they don't have facts or reason on their side.

This is why the Left has (EXACTLY as George Orwell predicted 70 years earlier) pushed so heavily to constantly change the definitions of words. If words no longer have a set meaning, or can be redefined at will, well, then, they can't be proven wrong, can they? This is right out of 1984, where Winston Smith works for the Ministry Of Truth, and it's his job to CONSTANTLY change history books and the definitions of words to whatever the central authority wants them to be at the moment - often just days or weeks after they were changed for the same reason. This is known as "doublethink", and the citizenry is trained not to question these constant changes, despite the cognitive dissonance they often feel, because the Thought Police will arrest anyone caught defying whatever the latest narrative is - and everyone is under constant intrusive surveillance to ensure that they don't.

Note that Joe Biden's administration tried to actually create a Ministry of Truth (called the "Disinformation Governance Board") - ostensibly to "fight misinformation" (i. e., anything that went against the government's current narrative). This despite the fact that the government has been forced to admit that most of the narratives it was concerned about at the time were factually incorrect and often illegal as well.

In addition, government capture of social media had largely created a Ministry of Truth already - the White House was sending daily lists of accounts to be banned or demonetized to Big Tech - exposed when Elon Musk bought Twitter. Make no mistake - such things continue still, especially at Facebook/Meta-owned properties, but Google and Microsoft are also big players.

And, in what should be no surprise, women (as a group) are MUCH more susceptible to arguments that appeal to feelings rather than reason, logic, or history compared to men (as a group). This is why the government caters to women so extensively, and works so hard to get them into college, where they can be thoroughly indoctrinated to follow the government without question. Simply, it works. Women respond much easier to peer pressure and to authority, especially when manipulated via their feelings, and so the government finds women far easier to control.

Of course there are exceptions both ways, but the numbers don't lie: women are SIGNIFICANTLY more likely to be left-leaning than men.

@Friendlybro79 No - everyone can be emotional. But, generally, people on the right look at the facts and the numbers and use logic and reason to come to a conclusion. On the left, they use sound bytes and single sentences with VERY biased framing to steer the FEELINGs of the masses, because the actual data rarely supports their positions. But that doesn't matter, because they can frame anything in such a way to get emotionally-led people to support their position - or change their position 180 degrees if that's what's currently convenient.

Basically the rise of social justice got a lot of women passionate and feeling like heroes.. But also a lot of people do believe that the Liberal or left is the more compassionate side.. That is a fair point if you take away what the media often puts out about both sides..
