Do you think it's insecurity or fear that leads a female to go through her SO's phone?

I only went through my bf’s phone once when I suspected that he was talking to his ex (he actually was), I just needed the proof to confront him. I felt like I violated his privacy but I needed to know, it was driven by fear I guess… I only started suspecting bcs his ex posted some cryptic photos/quotes about my boyfriend and I had an extremely strong gut feeling. Would’ve never gone through his phone otherwise

Yep, I would also chalk it down as insecurity tbh. I trusted my boyfriend and but I always had a lingering fear that he was still somewhat attached to his ex. I don't know if it was all just my insecurity or if it was also my gut feeling trying to tell me something tho lol Bcs turns out that everything that I was insecure about was true
