Because they like the attention. They may really have no interest in the dude. The minute you stop though all of a sudden they’re asking why doesn’t he chase me anymore. Why did he move on? Etc, etc. Some may be interested but than because of all the attention they’d rather have that knowing that they can get any man they want. Than before they know it, it’s too late, their time has come and passed so now they’re not getting as much attention as they used to. Some may just be shy, different situations.

Because 80% the case she might think you just want to "use" her. Therefore, she is being prudent you don't play with her and hurt her feelings or she doesn't care. Did you get signals from her?
