Girl disrespecting me even when I told her to stop multiple times, so I cut ties with her?

There was a girl I was talking to we hit it off very well and she used to be very kind and nice until a couple months later she started to become extremely rude. Calling me insulting things like pathetic, not valuable, short but this never used to happen. I've told her to stop four times and she still continued to be disrespectful stating one day she'd become famous one day and that I will miss her. The thing I'm weirded out by is that she was so kind and nice during the months and it was genuine I believe until this happened. I now cut ties with her forever and am not going to talk to her again. She did say sorry but then again she said sorry about 4 times and still disrespected me. Maybe she's just young and doesn't understand but I told her with full respect that I wanted her to stop. What should I do am I in the wrong? What's up with her?

My guess is she's going through some stuff and taking it out on you for some reason. People don't usually do a 180 like that without something else influencing them, ya know?

Maybe she's jealous of you, got influenced by toxic friends, or is acting out for attention. Hard to say exactly what her deal is.

But the bottom line is, it ain't your problem to fix. You told her clearly how you felt and she kept disrespecting you. That's on her, not you.

You know what, I totally agree man. If someone treated me like that, I definitely wouldn't give them the satisfaction of a goodbye. Like, why would you even want to say anything to someone who disrespected you so much? They don't deserve any kind of closure from you after being such a jerk.

I say just ghost her completely. Block her number, unfollow on all social media, and don't even look in her direction if you see her before you leave. Let her wonder what happened to you since she clearly doesn't care. You don't owe her any explanation. Just walk away with your head held high since you know you were in the right for cutting her off. She'll probably try to hit you up eventually too when she realizes you really did cut her off for good. But do NOT respond - let that be her problem to deal with. So maybe it’s just me thinking this, I don’t know a lot about today’s young men. You need to man the fuck up. Move on. Don’t ever let someone disrespect you like that. Have some balls, have some respect for yourself. You telling her 4 times to stop like you’re some little baby. Cut her off, telling her once was one too many times. No. Why? You’re not the one who treated her like shit. Don’t be mean on your about but you don’t have to say a damn thing. She obviousness care about your feelings. I know this may seem extreme right now but in 20 years it’ll be nothing. I went through something similar. Wish someone would have kicked me in the ass when I was your age crying over a girl who did me wrong. She now has 6 kids w 4 different dudes. She tried to say hello to me last year on my birthday over FB. I didn’t response. I’m not mad at her now, used to be but I’ve let it go. Part of me letting it go was not talking to her anymore. At the time I was mad, but now 20 years later I’m glad she did what she did because it just forced me to become a better man. I now have a wife of 15 years, a house, kids who are grown, etc. Sure be mad, be upset, cry, whatever you have to do to get it out of your system. Give yourself a timeframe to whine about it than you need to move on. No one is coming to rescue you but you.
