Why do people get so upset over seeing a topless woman in public?

I know there are plenty of places that allow females to be topless in public, but why not everywhere we want, its no different than guys being allowed to be shirtless anywhere. I have visited many places that allow females to be topless, and even in some of those it still seemed frowned upon, but mostly by the other women or older people. For example, I visited Oklahoma recently, and walked the down town area as such, and only got a lot of dirty looks and heard people talking about me, yes it was a little chilly outside in the lower 70's, but was a sunny day so it wasn't to bad, and I am a bigger girl so I get hot easier lol, but I wanted to express my right because I was only there for two days. I didn't go in anywhere, just on public sidewalks so that I didn't break any rules. But if it is allowed, why do people still frown on it and not more people doing it? Why can't we do it anywhere we want like guys, guys have nipples too, no different except females have all different size breasts.

I’m in favour of all humans being allowed to go about their business in whichever way they like, even completely naked if they want to. Our ancestors invented clothing to keep warm in cold weather not be embarrassed of nudity

Sadly there is a double standard and some people are offended for some reason. As far as I know it is not illegal in many places as long as you aren't being sexual.

If it's no different than a guy then post a link to a topless pic on here and send it to everyone in your contacts. If you wouldn't send it to your dad then it's not the same.
