Its totally un-called for. Women should not be stripping to make a point. Men won't respect them for it, other women won't respect them for it, its all a stunt for attention.

It does little to forward an actual positive feminist agenda and reflects poorly on all women. I would rather see a protest where the women are clothed. these demonstrations are gross.

I think it depends on context.

The first two videos are examples of people in public spaces who could have just picketed, they used nudity as an easy route to attention.
The first one might not even be a feminist - she's talking about nudism and shit. Sure there's overlap, most likely, but that's not the real issue.

The first protest actually makes sense, somewhat.
I had to google 'Femicidio' to try and make sense of what it was, and I guess I can see a connection between a nude protest in public, and the issue.

Overall though, I think feminists really overestimate what sort of powerful message nudity is.

Would you consider Japan first world because women are still treated like second class citizens over there. They're taught to be extremely submissive like if they are with a man to follow behind him instead with him. However I do agree with the western world first world countries.

@Caaarl As far as I know, that's with the older generation. I've never seen otherwise over there. Women aren't taught to be submissive from the Japanese women I've met, and they stand beside men, even in front some times.

You might be right I don't know a ton about Japanese culture all I know is that it exists. I'm sure the younger generation is much more progressive. When I've seen Japanese men with foreigners they seem to be equal but I don't understand Japanese norms. However I still stick by my statement that females are treated worse in the east than the west.

@Caaarl I personally don't think so.. Mostly depends on the specific area I suppose. Some areas in the US, people still teach their daughters to be housewives and getting married at 15. Out of the first world countries, the doubtful one would be Japan. But I have yet to see any problems with sexism in most of Japan, or heard of anything. They're pretty modern in their thinking. :)
