Ladies, what do you do to help with cramps?

Heating pad is the best in my opinion. You can even heat water on the stove and put it in a bottle if you don't have a heating pad. Other than that you can take over the counter meds. We have some in the US specifically for period cramps but just about anything that is pain reducing does help a little. Mine are only bad for a couple of days so I usually just use a heating pad on my stomach when I can. Other things that can help are light exercise and massaging your stomach. Also make sure your diet is healthy. That should be given no matter period or not but certain diets an make period cramps worse. Hope this helps.

You're welcome sweetie. Heat is my best friend for cramps. If they are especially bad then I will take some medication but that is a last resort. Heat usually does the trick for me on the first couple of days when it is the worse. Take care! 💜

I no longer suffer with menstrual cramps. But for a long time I used to to the point where I couldn't leave the house during the first two days. The pain used to be unbearable and affect my daily activities. I used to take the highest dose of ibuprofen but even then the pain would only go away for a couple of hours and then return as strong as ever. I do not miss those days at all and always empathize when a women tells me she's suffering with cramps.

As a guy's point of view, take a pediatric dose form of Tylenol. But always take adults advice, I learned from a former Therapist that Motrin is bad for some people, she told me a story that her daughter got Steven-Johnson's Syndrome from Motrin it is the same as Ibuprofen. And again I recommend taking advice from an Adult. Like a pharmacist, doctor, guardian.

I have found that light exercise helps along with pain meds for periods. My husband sometimes will lightly massage my stomach area which also helps.

Rarely I have cramps, when I do - I curl up in bed - drink hot tea and try to comfort myself to sleep.
